Good Morning/Good Morning/Good Morning

That's not far from me! Maybe 6 hours or so from Greensboro, NC? Although the drive home would take like years! lol!

I am going to be terribly unproductive at work again since the tourney starts at noon. I might play some online poker also. Then I'm gonna go home and play with my 11 month old daughter and watch more basketball and possibly the TAR pool match.

Vette:

Do you think online poker is fixed? I've taken some very peculiar beats lately. What do you think, since you play a lot of it?

Back to the topic at hand.... have a LOOOOVELY DAY people!

Just work today for me, no pool but I will be watching the NCAA tournament from work. Going to pick up my pool table tomorrow but then it has to sit in my storage unit for another month until we move into the house so it can be set up. Can't wait!

Congratulations Steve, sounds like heaven to me. A pool table, Clearwater Florida, and fresh seafood. If the timing is right, I might join ya in a couple of months. I always liked the Sand Key Resort. You feel like a kid on Christmas morning do ya. Or the night before. ;)

Peace, Purdman :)

And tonight i'm gonna sweat the TAR feed!!!!!

Thanks Purdman, it is like heaven! Seems like there is a pool hall every other mile and lots of great players to compete against. Plus I'm getting married in 2 weeks from tomorrow

I read a very interesting article a few months back about how one of the major sites had admins that could see all hands at the table.. then would communicate with someone at the table via cell and split the profits. This guy imparticular had something like 20 tables going at once with this trick.

As a software programmer, I can tell you with great certainty that unless a site has the long arm of the FTC looking over their shoulder like we have at banks, then cheating is almost inevitable.

Fatboy, I am sorry your back hurts. I know how you feel. Mine has been out of wack before. Damn pinched nerves! I am very careful with it these days.
Tell you what I am going to do for you. I am in VA. I am going to meditate a few minutes and then pray for your healing. All you need is a little faith my friend and you will be at the table tonight.
Peace, Purdman :)

Good mornin neighbor!

We'll be cleaning the cabin and packing for the trip back to No Va. I'll be taking lots more cold medicine to see if I can get rid of this damn head cold!

Tonight I plan on bundling up by the fire with some chicken soup and a big side dish of TAR!

MM...where abouts in No Va are you Purd? I live and play in Herndon (Breakers)

I've been playing online for over 7 years and have turned a huge profit over the long run. The beats only seem like they are happening more often because you play so many more hands online as oppose to live games (shuffling, dealing, waiting on other players). Also, you if play more than one table then that just multiplys the number of beats. I've thrown my fair share of things at the wall because of online beats, but then again I've also raised hell at live games due to horrible beats so it all comes out in the wash.

this was on Absolute poker I believe, which is one of the smaller sites. I have played on Absolute as I have played on almost all sites at one time or another. The big ones like Pokerstars and FullTilt have no incentive to cheat the players. They are making millions a day in rake. They would definitely not compromise a legitimate business that clears hundreds of millions to nickle and dime certain players. The bottom line is that the best players win over the long run. There will also be bad beats. You are going to have bad beats whenever idiots are playing and drawing at everything. You just have to have the means to outlast the variance.

Good Friday

My wife is off today and she'll have me pretty busy. My back has been bothering me lately so that will knock out me sneaking in some pool time. I hope everyone has a nice Easter weekend......

James

mornin, i'll be heading down to umpqua river later. as soon as i get there is all microbrew and pool, and tomorrow steelhead fishing in a totally blown river. y'all have a grand weekend!

cheers

I wouldn't worry so much about the company cheating you, but rather the devs and admins within the company cheating you. It's rarely the geeks writing the code who profit the most from legitimate business.

Good morning Don, I'll be playing with the kids most of the day and trying to sneak in a little practice on the table. Gotta work tonight so I'll try and snooze a few hours too.

I live in Leesburg. Usually play in Sterling or my basement. I went to Winchester yesterday and played in a new pool hall / restaurant where the old Harley distributor use to be. Very nice, about 16 new Diamond tables and good food to boot. Today is my 27 anniversary and I will be taking my wonderful wife to Joe Montana's grill in Cascades for a buffalo steak for lunch and then hitting a few balls at Bungalows.
I hope you cold gets better soon. They can be a real pain in the arse this time of year. Let me know when you have time to play some. I would like to meet you.
Purdman :)
My wife below. :) :) :) :)

Happy Anniversary!

Twenty-seven years! Congratulations. And a pool playing wife to boot. Lucky man.

I've had this cold on and off for about seven weeks now. Really driving me crazy. When (if) I get rid of it we'll have to hook up at First Break and hit a few.

Hey buddy, how's life been treating ya lately? You can't go wrong playing with your kids. Mine are both in their 30's. I haven't been back to Nashville, however, I did make it to Gatlinburg this summer. First time I have ever seen the Smokey mountains. I was thinking about you yesterday while picking up some country ham. ;) Thanks again.
Don :)

Good morning Don ... sorry if I'm a bit late, slept in don'tcha know :) It is a lovely little Good Friday here, the first day of my 4 day weekend :D With the wife and kids out of town I have to go feed the step-daughters cat real soon, and then I'm going to visit a good freind who is a top club maker / fitter who recently took a job as pro shop manager at a new humungazoid golf chain store in town, I'm looking forward to that. This afternoon will be household chores left for me by the-one-who-must-be-obeyed, but the amp will be turned up to 11 to make the JBLs rock, so it will be fine. After the supper cat-feeding run I just may have to drop by the hall for a brew and see who's around for a game or two.

Thanks for asking my friend.

Dave :)

There's nothing better than enjoying the fruits of your labor.....Still have a few jars of blackberry preserves from last year. Too bad I don't have a green thumb...

I'm going to send my McD back to the factory for a tune up and spend a couple hours on a tight pocketed gabriel before the barbox 8 ball tourney tonght.

Happy Easter.....He is risen
