Charlie has contributed more to the game than most. His ethical behavior has been beyond reproach as far as anyone here knows. The veiled references to Atlanta are cryptic to say the least. Having a disatisfied tournament venue does not make the tournament promoter a "shyster."

Charges ruffly $30 a day for admission into a UPA event....He keeps 80% of that money!!!! You sound like you are claiming an amazing amount of inside financial knowledge of both UPA and IPT events. I'm afraid many of us are skeptical, your source of info sounds questionable. It sounds like sheer speculation to me; you may have been misinformed (which of course, is preferable to "just making $hit up").

I have even done the table work for 3 of these venues to prepair for these UPA events....And 4 out of the 5 have held these events and ALL of them said the same thing...they lost their a$$ and CW collected. The sad thing is...one of these venues is Korean owned and they said they will never get involved with him again.....that should tell you alot! I just hope for your sake that you never get involved with CW in a financial situation.....All of these room owners didnt just get together and say "lets make up some $hit about CW...." If only one had said it, there may be room for speculation...but all of them.......kinda sounds like the truth to me. And if you dont think that he gets a sizeable "salary" from his events, then you are a poor soul.

Since when do all players in a sport played by individuals get paid? They are not entertainers, at least not intentionally. I think KT dove in to this under the assumption that pool is more popular than it really is. He can't even fill the stands at these tournaments. Listening to KT for 3 minutes will have you grabbing your wallet and backing away slowly.pooltchr said:

For reference, the attendance at the finals in Reno was about 400 (plus or minus 100). The attendance at the World 14.1 Championships this June was less than 100 for the semi-finals and finals. In both cases the count includes the eliminated players who were watching. I'm not sure, but I don't think I've ever been to any pool/billiard/snooker event that had as many as 1000 spectators. The closest may have been in Cardiff for the finals of the WPC 9-ball, but I didn't count carefully.Nostroke said:
