I once saw Mike Bandy give Scotty Townsend fits. Mike is a great player. Another guy that some people may have never heard of is Pete Trujillo from Wyoming. Pete was always a real solid player. Jerry Prado is another guy that was very unassuming, and a very good player that very few people had heard of outside of Texas. Al Davila from El Paso played pro speed, and I would practice with him for hours desperately trying to steal a set away from the guy. At the time I was on the pro tour. Go figure. Mando Canales is another awesome player from El Paso. Bob Newkirk was one of the best players in Texas for a very long time. Kyle Tafoya is a little bit on the dysfunctional side, but he's still a very good player, and relatively unknown. Then there's Mark Jarvis, I haven't heard anything about him for years. He was unstoppable. Then there was this guy named Kennedy. Everybody in Florida knew who he was, but one year at the US Open, everybody found out who he was.
