GPPA League??

This is a new league designed by Mike Sigel. I understand he has been working on this for some time and has a unique handicap system that gives weaker opponents ball in hand at some point in the game to allow them to level the field with those who play much better position than they do. I hope there is more info on the web site soon. Kinda curious how he plans to organize this.

The league will be handled by a very skilled group of highly professional league operators, most of which are now in place throughout the country.

Since I have been running national leagues for close to a decade, I have come to understand a couple of things.
It is very hard to lead the horse to the water - let alone geting them to drink.
I am afraid that GPPA might not be able to meet their lofty goals - and that is OK - businesses don't meet their goals all the time.
My fear is the damage that could occur to this alreaady fragile industry.
I have known Mike for 23 years or so. I wish him the best. BUT - it is not as simple as it looks on paper. I just dont understand the IPT mentality on this - a lot of money is NOT the correct answer. It is far more basic than that.
Either way, it will be interesting to see how it unfolds. Please dont take this as a 'hating' post. It is not. But it is a cautionary post.

Can you ask if Trudeau (or immediate family / estranged wife/gf) funded the seed money for this venture? I think that's a must-know answer. I know the FCC is hunting that cash down with extreme prejudice.
