What in the world is with that picture Lar'

Hey Mark

:D Lmao I think that dog got tossed out for firing an air barrel

They should have made him post !

The guy in the picture is yelling " I dont care what Scooter told you ! Post up or GET OUT !!! " :grin-square:

"Ima' RARE back an' hit 'em one time"

holy crap!!!!

Hillbillly must of pounded the living bejeezus out of that last one 'cause the two guys on the left both snapped their heads up towards the ceiling following the poor innocent cue ball.

They replay it three times. The guy watching on the left really snaps his head back, funny stuff.

hahaha

yall done got me sweatin....

I'd seen that vid before Larry, but I thought enough of it to save it using savevid.com. I recorded a series of Charlie's breaks at the IPT ProAm that I will post once I get a chance to edit them down & upload them.

what a break and that is really great advice.

I'm definitely going to be working on exactly that next time i'm practicing.

The short, compact motion is what really is the hard part to develop. Forget about cue ball control with huge winding motion breaks.

Well I just got back from the poolhall and I tried this breaking advice .
I need to practice this a bit . I was hitting the rack harder but with the added movement I have hitting the cueball off center a lot causing the cueball to fly around or off the table . With a little practice I think this will add some to your break speed for sure .

Charlie is a character and if you ever meet him at a tournament and ask him anything about this, he will stand there and go over it again and again until he feels he has answered your question. He is just that type of guy.

A couple of years ago he was playing in one of my events in Houston and towards the end faced Jeremy Jones. I'd never seen Jeremy so frustrated as Charlie for 4 consecutive breaks made two ball on the break and hung the 1 ball in the opposite end corner each time with the cue ball right in the middle of the table.

Jeremy in his frustration looked at me and asked, "can't you do something"?
My reply was, "What am I going to do, give him a speeding ticket?"

The only other person I've seen break as hard as him was a young Danny Medina. I would love to have seen them ssqaure off in a break contest when both were about 35.

What kind of break cue & tip does Charlie Bryant use?
At one time, he had a deal with Richard from X-Breaker and still uses the X-Break cue. It comes with a special tip exclusive to that brand of cue. All X-Break cues came with this tip. He uses their second generation cue with a rubber wrap over the butt.

When he came down in August he siad it was the Prototype of the Xbreaker......No telling cause all in all he hammers them balls to death!!!! Awesome form when breaking!

That's right. After Richard had the first generation X-Breaker on the market, he sent Charlie the prototype of the second generation cue. It was called the X-35.7, I think. It was named after the highest speed Charlie ever broke a rack on a radar gun.

When he got the new prototype, he gave me his first generation cue. I still use it to break.
