Gene started off like gang busters. He looked comfortable and made some nice outs. Chris played good hooked himself early and then next thing he knew it was all tied.
I think Chris hit a little gear and it surprised Gene a bit and when he got back to table he was a bit "out of stroke."
It was well worth the 25 dollars. Had fun in the stream with everybody. Looking forward to tomorrow night and if I know Gene he will come back with a vengeance! :grin:

I rarely ever post on this forum, although I have been around a long time. Your post has gotten my attention and I feel compelled to respond.
You sir, are an arrogant ass. Regardless of the outcome, this match is great for pool. Are you upset that Gene is not betting enough because he has said Chris does not have to win? Seriously?
Bartrum is probably the most straight forward, high skill level (mechanics and mental toughness) poster on this forum. I have not won a dollar betting against him.

Good shooting Bartram, from what I read. Wish I could've watched, but I'm working nights.
Nothing is a given, so I'm sure you'll give your best effort again tomorrow and not take anything for granted just because you won by 12 games tonight.

But I had a lesson to do His name was Bobby and he was pretty happy with what he learned. I think he lost $500 betting on me but he had enough left for the Perfect Aim lesson. . That;s what i do and it's so important for pool and all the players.
I need to keep my focus tomorrow.
And get some sleep. The motel I'm at has walls that are paper thin.

bartram is a real straight shooter and I like his style. very enjoyable to watch the man play.
you could see stretches, and especially at the beginning of the match, where gene looked like he could give chris all he wants. gene will need to bottle some of that lightning for round two, tonight, and have enough of it for the entire race. he obviously has skill but he needs to sustain it. it will take a mighty effort for gene to get one back.

I watched the whole thing. Gene started strong and so did you. Seemed like Geno just fell off. You play damn good. Geno can play damn good. he's got NO SHOT, if he can't keep his starting pace. If he can shoot the whole match like the first 6 games, he can get it WAY closer. I don't like Geno's odds though...
Will you hook up with him for some BB (bar-box, not BonusBall...
) action? Sounds like he has a backer or twelve for that match?
