Not sure if this is the right column for it but...I would like to know your opinion on the New GTF cases..with the pockets and without. Im looking to get a 2x4. I saw the video of it and i kinda like how it protects the cue. Nice and snugg. Hopefully someone out there owns one..and if not..just give me your opinion on the case with pockets or without in regards to look also.

Pls. post some pics if you have one..that is if its ok with you guys..

Thanks you.

I got one of the 2x4 cases on Friday. I love the case. I got the replica model without pockets, looking for something light and well made. I got it.

The cues don't budge, and are well protected. And man is that case light. I did not even get a shoulder strap, wanted to keep it light as possible. I am well pleased. BTW, I also own or have owned Justis, Murnak etc.. They all have their plusses but I will carry this one mainly.

Believe at present Roy @ Indyq is the only GTF Dealer, and I am not sure if he offer a Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee. Might check with Roy about his return policy.

Picture look good, but I have not seen a GTF in person.

Who said anything about a money back guarantee?? I did NOT purchase mine from INDYQ. Got mine directly from the guys at GTF.

If the original poster needs any more info, drop me a PM!

That is good information to consider.

Hmmmm, interesting. Aren't GTF cases the latest line manufactured in China?

He's selling direct now? That would require a dramatic change to his business model and distribution network.

Perhaps you bought a sample?

But frankly, I'd rather deal with Customs and import my own that I would deal with Roy! (And I effen hate knock-offs)

Believe GTF is the U.S. Distributor/Jobber, or something like that, and a Chicago based company. Indyq is a GTF Dealer if I recall. Checklink<<<<<<<<<<-------------;)

They are modeled after the Fellini style case. Fellini cases have not been made for many years from my understanding. I can say that these cases are of very high quality. At least mine is. Years ago I did own a Fellini and this case is superior in my opinion.

No, I did not get a "sample" as you suggested. There were several in stock and I picked the one that I wanted. GTF must be close to the midwest,my case shipped quick, got it 2 days after ordering.

If I had to buy from Roy at IndyQ, I would have passed. Not my cup of tea. JMHO.

Don't care who made the case as long as I got my money's worth, which I feel that I did.

I have this one (1x2):

It is a great case! Very well made indeed!

I was especially impressed with the tightness of fit with the cap. In retrospect, I probably should have gotten a 2x4 with a handle and some sort of pouch.

Although I haven't seen these cases in person, from the video I believe they're probably a real good case. I like the look of the ones without the pockets however there are a few essential things I need to carry. Ron Thomas makes a case that looks like the old Fellini cases but he has a storage cup that fits inside the lid of the case. So I'll be checking his cases out before I buy a GTF. Also, you can buy directly from the GTF website.

I have one of Ron's with a Cup, don't hold much, but personally like the 8" Pouch, and Strap better like this.

Because the Pouch holds all this.

1 Piece 150 Sand Paper

1 Piece 220 Sand Paper

4 Pieces Master GREEN CHALK

Porper Mushroom Removing Tool

Dime Willard

Tip Tapper

Spinali Moosehead Bridge

1 x Q-Claw

Q-Smooth Burnishing Papers

Folding Reading Glasses

White Hole Reinforcing Donuts

Cotton Rags

No I think they are made in the usa. the tag says chicago! :(

Jayman.

Hey Cowboy...it looks like you need a small suitcase to carry all that stuff...LOL
Hey Jayman...I could be wrong but I think those GTF cases are made in China. That's where John Barton has his shop.

No all that "stuff" fit in that 8" Pouch, and like I said I have one of Ron Case with a Cup, and have one Cup. I find I use the one with the pouch more.
