The ferrules and joint looked like something Bob would do. When did Paul make cues in the Chicago area? Are you going to have this cue at the DCC...Id like to see it.

Damn, you guys are quick.

I've always been a fan of that model.

<=== Played with a Huebler for over 25 years.

Huebler Cue?

I read that National Cue Co was only in Chicago for one year in 1968, then moved to Georgia. Huebler, Meucci, Helmstetter, worked with National but of the first cues Paul Huebler built, I have not seen that quality of craftsmanship. I have a few early examples. The design screams Huebler, but not 1968, unless Paul stayed behind and built it much later in Chicago.

If I were to guess as to the timeframe, I put this cue at no earlier than 1975-76 prototype or early custom. On the other hand I have not seen any of his with brass insert that late. This also may have been a Meucci/Huebler collaboration just prior to parting ways.

If the cue is for sale I may be interested.

I agree on the timing. Also, probably not Spain blank (but anything's possible). This cue seems to have a similar veneer color combo and also a noticeable seam where the veneers meet....compared to another mid-late 70's Huebler that we once had. It's a great old Huebler....one of the best earlier ones I've seen...gorgeous.

I have a very early Huebler that is about to be refinished. It also has a very similar forearm to this but the veneers are black- green-red-green. Nice old Huebler.
