guess who made this

wawacue, has the correct cuemaker been identified yet in this thread?
If not... is it Paul Casanova?

WHAT?? Not professional enough!, What do you base this on? I guess you've never spoke with him or bought a cue from him! A simple no to the guess would be ALOT better than talking garbage about one of the best and nicest cuemakers I've had the pleasure to deal with. Maybe you should try to be a little more "professional" in your remarks.

Chenz

sorry if you took it so personal. what i base on ? well let see, when i spoke to Manzino back in Oct of 2006. Mr Manzino have ask me to call him when i'm in Miami which i did. we set an appointment to meet & he never show & don't even consider give me a call & tell me, "sorry, i couldn't make it" instead have me drive almost an hour from south beach to where we suppose to meet, i was sitting in the car for over an 1.5hrs. you be the judge of that buddy. beside that is just only my opinion. Mr. Manzino probably is a nicest cuemaker to deal with but down my alley, when someone stood you up & don't even call, that unprofessional.
Wow.....yes i never brought any Manzino & what that have to do with anything ? are you trying to tell me, because i never own an Manzino i don't have the right to speak my mind ? good luck chenz

Hey wawa,

No disrespect intended but regardless of his professionalism, Bob Manzino has proven himself to be one of the foremost cuemakers in the world who creates cues with remarkable, unique designs and precision inlays. His cues are beautiful. And the few that I've been lucky enough to hit with play great.

I don't know him personally so I can't speak on the subject of his professionalism but his cues are top notch.

Pharaoh68

maybe you misread what i wrote, i only said mr Manzino is unprofessional in my opinion. i never said he made bad hitting cue...ETC.
i know he made some unique, remarkable looking cue, that why i "was" interested getting a few of his cue but after he stood me up & never called than, to me that unprofessional.
If you are a cue maker & your customer fly down to Miami to meet you & you don't show & don't call, what that tell you ? very professional ? tell me i'm wrong for expressing my opinion.

I'm going to agree with JCIN here.

Now, I don't know if he remembers it or not but wawa and I have actually met before about a year or two ago. He seems like a nice guy and he does have some very interesting cues. I don't necessarily agree with some of his choices in cuemaker but, hey. That's just me.

Now most of you who know me know the makers that I love and the makers that I hate. The first list is MUCH longer than the second. That goes without saying. But I gotta say wawa, you are definitely making your life difficult in the long run. As someone who is an avid colelctor, you should realize that by insulting some of the more revered names in the industry, you are only burning bridges. You may just want to watch what you say about certain people. Because if you piss off one or two, they have friends who may follow suit and deny you later on.

Just some advice.

pharaoh68

thank you for the advise, i might off of piss alot of people off but i think i'm entitle to express my opinion. i don't think i insult anyone here but to speak what i feel. " when you said i burn bridges ? well, if that one or two & their friends deny me....be my guess cuz my money will go somewhere else.
also, i do remember you, met you though woody. again, thank you for your advise again.

Hmmmmmm. Lotsa inlays. Ebony shaft section w/ inlays. G-10 pin. Underrated American cuemaker. And you're from New York.

I'm gonna say Paul Rubino!

i'll be in the room you meet me. come on down, i'll show you & tell you.

sorry, this one is not Ariel cue. actually, i'll be posting an Ivory handle with silver veneer Carmeli cue in about 2 or 3 week.

My comment was in referance to your "mystery" cue being a RUBINO.

Is this reply confirmation that is what it is?

If so, what do I win??

Well, several people have said they like the design, in spite of wawa's ignorant comments. For me personally, it is way too busy and has about 3 too many design themes.

As a plus for the cue maker, it looks to be very well executed. Good job Kenneth Murrell.

Bob Manzino just called me and wants to address your above statements..
None of your little story is true...
Why would you make that whole story up..
You were in Miami for a Jewelery show, not to see Bob..
The actual email is listed below...
Another good cuemaker regains his respect from BS...

Really at this point i dont care to know who made that cue.
a lot of men acting like women on the whole subject. "WHO made this cue "
Big deal . It's a nice cue,and WAWA is getting it .

And no matter who made it .

All this about who made the cue and how he feels about other cue makers . "BIG WOOP".
Its all wood .

P.S if you think that Kenny Murrell made that cue you are dead Wrong .
Thanks not him

Andy Gilbert. Billy Shick, Black Boar.

who really cares

this has been an interesting read. i'm coming in late here so i just scanned through the posts.

so basically, wawa shows this cue which he states somewhere in this preposterously long thread that is nothing like what the cuemaker normally does....thus making this a pointless poser in the first place. the best minds(except for the lunatic mind that thought up "rubino") have responded and they're all guessing because,,,well,,,how could anyone possibly know, right. the OP shoulda just posted the finished piece and said "look at what mr. xxxx did".

so as has been reiterated, who gives a sh!t at this point. all that's been accomplished is that wawa has p!ssed people off, as he stands proudly by his nifty cue, the design of which is nice but not unique, and other than the hexagonal frames with curly q's, the remainder of the design is a series of dots (literally tons of 'em, like twinkly little stars dancing in the night sky) and notched diamonds............like okay,,,so what.

btw...whoever guessed "rubino", i'm jesting. no one could possibly be THAT nutz so i'm assuming you were simply having fun(as i am) or simply had one too many at the local gin joint. :)

At this point, I hope you want to be buried with this cue, because I don't think you will ever sell it to any respectible member of this forum if they read this post. I'll take a nice Meucci this cue from this point forward. I agree that it looks to be quality work, but the design seems to be from about 5 different cues all in one butt sleeve and doesn't flow well in my opinion. I am beginning to wonder whether or not you dislike the cuemaker. You are pulling him down into the dumps with you. If I were the cuemaker here, I would consider yanking the cue from you and giving you your money back. I am positive it would not result in any loss of sales to anyone here.

Wow "cue nut you and B70" both are HATERS . If you had just half the money 'Wawa" has to buy cues like that, "You would "

And show them off .

"But guys like you are hatters"

Then act like you have hi end cues posting pictures of what your friends have and dreaming to own.
WaWa has the money and i love to see what he has new ,
If he does'nt wanta tell that is up too him .
But you stop adding your 2 cents , take your change and be out>>:)

Hatters got to love them

That is why "YOU ladies are Haters".

more then just 2cents the whole dam stack....
EVIDENTLY YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN BRUIN'S CUES..... SOMETIMES PEOPLE SHOULD DO RESEARCH BEFORE THEY MAKE STATEMENTS ABOUT OTHERS.
