Coming on this forum making statements like this.
Barry has been making cues since 1989 and has earned his reputation from his work alone. A 10 year waiting list of knowledgeable cue collectors must be all wrong, according to you. Having one of the greatest teachers (Gus) has lead Barry to make some of the most beautiful cues made..
As to coming up with this original idea..
The Scalloped buttcap original idea? Straight from Black Boar
The Box inlay original idea? Straight from Art Cantando
The Black G-10 Pin original idea? Straight from Manzino or Gold
The notched diamond original idea? Take your pick, Bushka, Palmer ect.
By throwing mud in the face of every good cuemaker you have just done an unbelievable injustice to whoever made that cue for you..
You've single handedly made everyone on this forum wanting to dislike your cue..
Azer's guessing Bob Manzino, Barry Szamboti and Thomas Wayne would be the greatest compliment to any cuemaker in the world..
I'm sorry for the cuemaker that made this cue, since they won't get the full credit they deserve because of all the bad mouthing done..

I would like to point out that Barry Szamboti has chosen to continue the tradition of his father out of love, respect, and the ability to do as he pleases to sell cues as well as satifying the needs of his customers, many of which were/are Szamboti collectors. Barry turns down more work in a month than most cuemakers will get in 5 years. I personally have approached him with a number of deep pocketed projects - he simply has no time for them and turns them down. He pretty much makes cues for who he wants to makes cues for, and he makes them any way you want as long as they are his style.
Your cue has no unique ideas. I mean, come on. Where is the unique idea?

Hey Wawa, Everybody Is Entitled To An Opinion, But You Bashed A Lot Of Very Good Cuemakers In Your Voyage To Show Off Your Cue. I'm Also Pretty Sure That If The Person Making This Cue, Is Reading This Thread He Is Not Very Proud Of Being Associated With Your Remarks. The Cue Is Neat, But Like Kenny Said, Every Aspect Of The Cue Has Been Copied From Someone Else. You Just Put Them All Together. I Hope You Enjoy Your Cue, Because After Reading Your Posts, I Can't Imagine Anyone Else Here Caring If It Falls Apart After It Hits The First Ball.

WAWA, I encourage you to resonsider your remarks. Barry Szamboti's work is superb and it honors his dad's achievements as a cuemaker. Comparing your cuemaker's work with Barry's is to flatter it at the highest levels. Your choice to respond with a criticism of Barry is in poor taste and in my opinion, is the most ignorant thing I have read to date on the AZ forum.
I souldn't argue with someone whos opinion I find so foolish, but reading it offended me to the point that I had to say something. I no longer care who made your cue...keep it.

I really debated on whether to post on this thread. It started out interesting and turned to absolute sh*t.
I am only going to say one thing, wawacue you have totally ruined your future credibility on this forum. You have disrespected several cue makers who in my opinion are either legends or will be legends in the near future.
