jackpot is the guy who made the Libra cues
one time he was betting over $100 on me,back when that was a lot of money
I was playing Pete Glenn the worlds greatest pool hustler.the fact that you never heard of him means nothing,you have heard of the Glenn Family Collection of Balabushkas and Szambotis
at any rate Pete passed away this year RIP
But I digress,he was about my present age back then and Jack figured he was too old to play so he put $100 on his old friend who he had gone to high school with some 30 years before the said game
figuring that I was stealing
again pardon the digression,so jack sits down to watch the one pocket game and steal a thousand or two,depending on how much the old man had
i win the first game and Jack is sure that things are going just fine,when i put the cue ball on the rail and wait for Pete to miss and leave me a shot,when he cuts a ball backwards and banks it in
Jack,who is on the rail,jumps up and hollers,' WE ARE GAMBLING,DEAN is Gambling
I thought we were stealing.I quit'

I could tell you several good stories about Jack Potter but

You have such a good reputation and you are one of the best salesmen on AZ. I don't know of another member who can sell cues as easily as you can without pictures. I still think you should get an inexpensive camera and get someone to show you how easy it is to take and post pictures using a free site like photobucket.com
If I lived close by I'd be happy to show you.

People who buy cues from you are stealing, not gambling.
Has nothing to do with inability to post images. Dean is one of the smartest guys around and if he wanted to post pictures they would be masterpieces.
As I stated in the other thread....if it isn't broke, don't fix it. It has proven to be a successful business model for you, and continues to be so...so why change it? Besides, you get to interact with all sorts of interesting folks this way.

I'm guessing it's because historically you have known what you want when you buy, and often buy yourself without pictures. IE the mcdermott case your looking for, I'm sure if someone had one you would buy it sight unseen after a phone conversation. It probably has a lot to do with you being a collector, your going to enjoy any high end stick and for you its like unwrapping a gift... Your not sure exactly what it is your getting, but you know you want it Your leaving a lot to the imagination and building anticipation... then when someone receives it they can look it over for the first time and appreciate every aspect of the craftsmanship.
Your not selling junk, people know your not selling junk, if someone buys from you their getting what you said they are getting..

3 i like to talk to people to make sure they get what they need

if your wife is worried
a happy wife is infinetly more important than a pool cue

I think you like to meet people and talk with them. I had a question about a Melton case and I called you directly. We talked for at least half an hour about Rusty and pool and a whole bunch of stuff that I found fascinating. I enjoyed the conversation very much and I think you like to meet people also . . . even if it's for a brief moment over the phone.
