Earl just left my shop minuets ago and said he loves his new Gulyassy playing cue and his new Gulyassy break jump. We have just agreed to work with each other creating a new Earl Strickland Line of cues and he is also using the new Gulyassy break jump cue. He said he understands now how his opponents have been breaking and playing well enough to beat him in the past. Earl told me he loves his new equipment. As far as the tournament Saturday he told me that he left because of the people on the next table trying to jump a close jump shot that made him leave. They were making a lot of unnecessary racket while he was breaking and running out the first two racks. These were people that knew better and anyone trying to play a match would have told them to stop.

Great news for you and great news for Earl. Good luck to both of you.

Good luck to you and Earl. IMO the reason people to that stuff to Earl is because they know he will react.

Good to hear that Earl's got a new sponsor. I wish you and Earl all the best!

Earl told me Saturday that he was playing with your cue now, Mike. I didn't get to see it, but I DID see Scott Rabon's new cue. Very similar to the one I tried out at the shop some time back, or maybe that was it??
Good luck to both of you in the new venture. I hope to see you, maybe toward the end of this week, or sooner.

Gary

Great News,I'm glad those rumors of Earl quitting were B/S Earl had every right to leave if they werent going to respect his request. I dont knoiw how many times I have watched Tiger on the tee box go bizerk when he hears a shutter click from a camera 80 feet away.Yeah right,LOL. The tournament director should have thrown that Bit%h out!

I think thats great, Id like to hear more about the new line of cues, and could someone please describe how a gulyassy Looks, feels, and play's?

Thanks, SPINDOKTOR

Sounds Great!

Sounds like a great partnership. Looking forward to seeing the results!

Hey Mike,

When is my cue gonna be ready??????? Just kidding. I'm a patient guy.

Good Luck with your venture. I think Earl is a great player and he will play great with one of your cues.

People not from this area don't understand that all of the top level players around here use a Gulyassy cue. And I know that Stevie Moore used one for 10 years or so before moving away.

And for those who haven't had the chance to play with one of Mike's cues, they are a great cue. Mike has been building custom cues for about 15 years now. And everyone knows what a champion player he was (and he still plays pretty sporty).

Again, good luck. I guess we will get to see if the Cuetec affected his game like alot of people seemed to think.

Mike

Im happy Earl is now playing with a good cue and out from under Cuetec. Hopefully his game will pick up and his attitude with it.

AND WHERE WERE YOU THIS WEEKEND, Mike???
Hey Gary,

Are you talking to me or Mike?

I figured you and Gulyassy were there running out. I have taken a little break from the game. I may play the Viking events coming up, but I may not play again until the Smokey Mountain. Hopefully Gulyassy can get a cue in my hand that I can make a ball with.

What was the turnout like this weekend? Who were the top finishers?

Mike

If anyone can build a cue that fits the hand of a champion then Mike Gulyassy can. Mike plays as good as any living human on his good days and only about a ball lower on the rest of the days.

I wish both of them the best. Hope to see Earl showing us what a REALLY talented jumper can do with a jump cue.

Congratulations to you, Mike and to Earl. Hope the new line of Earl Strickland cues by Mike Gulyassy comes to the market place fast.

I have an plain-jane Gulyassy that I was preparing to sell for $350.00 but now that I see a professional of Earl's caliber recognizing the quality of Gulyassy Cues and is choosing to align himself with Mike Gulyassy, I will keep it and practice a little more. :D

Best of luck to both you and Earl, Mike!
I'm glad you changed it even though I wouldn't fuss at you since I met you in Duluth. ---Leonard

the real question in my mind is will earl use the jump cue. i personally hope not. only because i like how he felt so strong about it in the past and over came it by jumping with his full break cue. good luck.
