40 cents/per round vs. 56 cents/per round isn't that much cheaper, but when you have 1000+ rounds it is.
It's an LWRC - not a Daniel Defense or Larue by any stretch, but it's an upper echelon piece. Why? Because a friend who had it needed $$ and gave me a deal that I couldn't refuse, not to mention included over 5k rounds and the Aimpoint that still sitting on it...
It's really not that bad at all. As long as its well lubed prior to firing, it wipes down and cleans very easily.
.308 - that weapon is far more capable than what I can do with it... waiting on my stamp for a TBAC 30P1, hopefully only another few months.
I built that one probably over a year ago and have yet to fire it. It seemed like a good idea at the time but is like a hooker with little tits... kinda pointless IMO.
You can get Wolf Gold .223 ammo in the same price range as 5.45. Wolf Gold is actually decent ammo (not the steel cased Wolf).
I suppose the point i was making is that there is no match grade 5.45 ammo that is as easily available as .223, for example.

It's used to mainly just shoot shit/targets so no match grade ammo is required/desired. Out of the 5k rounds I have, I think they were purchased for ~$0.18ea, which is dirt cheap.
I saw the LWRC logo on all 3 lowers. I meant "RECCE" ala carbine length recon rifle. Although I feel buying premium lowers aren't crucial, I do like Noveske lowers.

No, I got what you meant, E... The upper is LWRC, the lowers on all are Aero Precision. Premium lowers aren't crucial, but damn, Noveske is some high dollar stuff...
Crows are only one of 2-3 birds that are able to recognize FACES (not clothes, walking gait, etc) Faces!. Mockingbirds also and perhaps A Jay and perhaps the Green Heron-the only bird known to use bait while 'fishing'.

I wish . Haven't shot in a couple years . Still buy them now and again. Not sure why but I've never lost money on a gun. Wish I could say the same about cues.

i was attracted to guns and knives because as far as i know- they are 2 of the very few products that are still made REAL WELL here in America.
I guess the build your own thing is a no go in California. The people that sell the receiver parts won't ship to CA.

I own many pistols and like you never got into shooting them like I do rifles and shotguns. I use to shoot many cases of shells a year in shotguns, as they will bet it up around here using custom built barrels, for one certain size shot. Some call them turkey shoots. I have seen them bet 1,000 a shot. I had at least 15 built for 9 shot and had one that could average 150 shot in a 5" circle at 90ft. Most were 36" x !" . I have seen some 60" barrels, but most figured out after 36" they didn't get better. Good Custom barrel builders are thought of like good cue builders. Nice 223 you have. There are many old Remington 22's that are still more accurate than any newer 22's I've shot.
Thank you. This is somewhat sparking my interest in handgunning. We have a nice handgun range in Angeles and a couple of indoor ranges here. Maybe I'll go down and see what I can do at 50 feet.
Here's one more of my JB butterfly case. I requested the top pocket be made to dimensions that would accommodate my Glock 36. I carry this gun every day. I feel naked without it.
For sure, Kim. It's true for the A3 also. I have one of the aftermarket drop ins. Much improved!
