Hi Bill,

Could you please consider redoing your website so it is easier to find the particular cues you post here? A search by cuemaker would be extremely helpful.

The box on the left KEYWORDS TYPE Gus presto My Gus from last year and another from last month this one has not been listed yet.

Checked Twice

ginacue x 2 going up check the site

Bill,

I checked twice so far, and no newly acquired Ginacue yet.

It might work better if you put the cues up on your site, with all the information, and then posted on AZ. Then interested parties would not have to go back several times to find the cue once posted.

Very true statement.
Seems like the only Gus cues on the site were sold some time ago.
I will be looking forward to seeing what may be available.

Makes it hard to spend money...

Hi Bill,

This point has been brought up MANY times. The site is far from intuitive to navigate. The only factor that seems to matter is DOLLAR amount. For me, that is the last thing that matters, but to each his own.

Keyword search is hit or miss. How many variations are there for each cuemaker, their name, and their brand? Too many to do keyword searches for sure. Some people say Joss West, some folks say Josswest, while others still say Bill or Billy Stroud. Some folks say DPK, others say Kersenbrock. etc. etc. And if there are actually 'professionals' maintaining this page, it would take them all of about 3 minutes to build another page with a list of cuemakers links (which would also be one more way to show off what is not for sale any longer because it is already sold (another annoyance of broker/dealer sites)). Even an amateur could bang out that code in 15-20 minutes.

Either way, Bill sure does come up with some fine cues!

we are consistantly updating the site with new cues and it does take much longer to rebuild pages acording to maker, we are in the process of reworking the site but will not happen till 2012 . my old site was lost in a divorce and i had to rebuild quickly .and they did a fantastic job. we will take all input in consideration as you all know with change comes problems also. we have kicked around a idea of in a-z order

I think you definitely would be more accessible if you had the cues listed by maker. I think your price thing is a fine reference, but I'm betting far more people come to the site wondering what you have available in, say, Gus Cues, than come wondering what you have in the 10K price range. Like most folks, I think the way I think is the way everyone thinks, but I think buyers could better navigate the site if they could click maker's names and see what you have in stock.

If you build it, they will come.

Scary, but..........

It is scary, but I totally agree with Kevin.

If someone is looking for a Ginacue, for example, they can go to the aggregated group of Ginacues and check them out, across all prices.

Bill, everyone appreciates what you do and enjoys your cues!

Take care,

Will

Totally agree, I don't like guessing the price of a Tad then start clicking away just to find no Tads.

That agreement just stems form years of me trying to put myself in your head, think like you do, so I can find cues to trap with with! Speaking of which, it's been a while.

Thanks

Kevin

Plus (how odd for me to go on and on), like Realtors hold open houses not to sell the house they are showing, but rather to attract neighbors that are thinking of selling and are curious as to price, I think if there was a maker search, Bill might be more successful at converting owners of cues that are looking at his site to determine the value of that thing of their uncle left them in his estate. More cues for Bill is better for all of us.

Thanks again

Kevin
