Gus cue for sale

Barry now has the cue and has a report on it. The shaft was misplaced by me or an employee or ? Chances of finding it are slim. Contact me if you still have an interest after hearing the report from Barry. I will post again here after selling it.

I dont have a problem with having someone autthenticate the cue. I'm not so sure tho of having it refinished. It seems to me that the pool of buyers may be larger with it original since any owner could then bring it in for refinishing if they desired it that way. Just a thought.
I have no idea what the cue is worth.
Sorry for any frustrations in the past.

Well the Letter from BARRY will tell what he has, I hope for his sake he has a Szamboti, so someone has the opportunity to give it a deserving home!

Well, if Barry has the cue, it would be easy to confirm because there are so many people on this forum that know him personally. But, when it comes to authenticity, you'll need it in writing.

So Barry has a report, but you are unable to post that report?

And you lost the shaft, or one of Barry's employees lost it? Did you figure this out before, or after you mailed it?

This is just plain weird.

Hey it was not Barry that lost the shaft! Dude lost it before he sent it. Wonder when we will see what Barry sez about the shaftless Szamboti or NOT? I just wanted to let the AZ'ers Know it is Safe to send anthing you want to Barry you will get everything back that you sent! I bet he will make a couple shafts for it too! Yep Great Guy that Barry...... Ron
 
Gus Cue Officially sold

This cue is officially sold and paid for.

I sent it to Barry and he authenticated it as one of Gus's cues, along with doing the customary inspection and description.

I would not think of selling it to someone who would treat a stranger like crap, as some of the posters here did.

Some people think its OK to berate someone and give them "red dots" because the other person doesnt comply with their wishes. I say they are too cynical to appreciate the Gus cue.

I sold it to a person who I believe will give it a good home, as it deserves. Someone who can act a gentleman, have a respectful conversation, and take action. Somene who I believe is buying the cue for themself, and not trying to understate it's value in order for them to "flip" it to someone else. All I want is what the cue is worth, no more, no less. Good luck sir with the Gus.

To the people who expressed an interest and were gentlemen about it, thank you, and good luck in all your endeavors.

I spoke extensively with Craig and he is a very stand up person. I too don't understand why he was given such a hard time. The man is running a business and does not spend all his time on a computer. Many times while on the phone with him he had to excuse himself to take care of his customers. I am pleased to have bought this cue from him and Barry will be making new shafts and refinishing the cue when he has time to. All I can say is that Craig is extremely pleasant and easy to work with. I hope you had a great holiday season and I hope you have a Happy New Year with your family.

paul, glad to hear you got the cue. I bet there's couple of guys kicking theirs selfs for bashing this guy instead of trying to work something out with him.
 
Yea, notice how all the trash talking and bashing was directed toward him and yet like a gentleman he refused to return the favor. Bravo to you. That would have told me he is an ok seller. I hate when people dont give someone a chance and just think its easier to bash their thread. Congrats on the sale and to everyone else who doubted you i would just say jokes on them. Happy new year.
