Beautiful vintage Gus Szamboti from the early 1970's.

The buttend of this cue was completely refinished by Tascarella Custom Cues in 2017; the cue is straight and in excellent condition; it has been well cared for with very light play since returning from their shop.

BEM forearm with four (4) Ebony points with four (4) veneers (black, orange, light green and natural). Piloted stainless steel 5/16-14 joint, black fiber trim with Silver Nickel rings. Ebony buttsleeve with four (4) BEM boxes.

Buttend overall length is 29", 15.6 oz
Two (2) original shafts 29.5", 4 oz, 12.25mm with 1" natural ferrules

i'm a HUGE SW fan, but, it doesn't make sense

a fancy variant would warrant the asking price of the GS, rings at 5 places isn't "fancy"

This is my dream cue, look at my Runde playing cue, notice anything! I cannot believe this is still here. I honestly think it is the classiest cue I have seen on this site in the years I've been coming here. The price is to low IMHO, somebody is going to get a steal. Bank robbery here.

It's still not sold because all the young players are pairing up carbon shafts with any old butt,I see this more and more.
A lot of the younger players have never heard of the now famous cue makers.
The old timers that would love a Szam are too old to play or have died.
And some that would like this cue can't afford the very reasonable price of $7800.
It's going to get harder and harder to sell cues in this price range I think.

you make a great point: based on a recent piece those receiving ss have seen there buying power decrease by 30% since 2000

another problem is the strength of the US dollar. for someone in Canada like me, it's almost at a 1.4 exchange rate. I would've bought this by now if the exchange rate wasn't so bad.
