Hand Tooled DW Case Lineup... New Case Added!

Hi all,

Well, since I started posting pictures of The Grumpy Old Cowboy's cases (DW Cases), he made seven cases to date. He has tried to cover a pretty wide range of tastes and price ranges in an attempt to get one to anybody who wanted one. Numbers five and six are currently for sale in the Wanted/For Sale forum, but I wanted to post pictures of all the cases he's done so far to give everyone an idea of his capabilities.

Thanks for looking!

Steve

Hi Justin,

The fifth case is currently in the Wanted/FS section, and is priced at $675 obo. With the current economy, I'll consider trades, too.

Thanks for looking!

Steve

Couple more pics.... The case isn't as orange as it looks. More of a chestnut brown. One of these days I'll get this picture taking thing down!

Hey Dean,

Glad you like the case! I'm not the best photographer in the world, for sure. Pleasure dealing with you and I'll be talking to you before too long...

Regards,

Steve

i'll take case 8 too, please do not tempt me with any more cases,i am becoming a compulsive buyer.I see something unique, handmade, with quality that is so rare and the next thing I know I am buying.

I like these cases, together with my Rusty Melton hand tooled cases and Ron Thomas hair on cow.I am considering putting long horns on the hood of my car together with having my seats tooled in a western pattern.

Your padnah

DEAN

Howdy Padnah,

It's been a pleasure working with you on these cases! I know you're mostly a Rusty and Ron case guy, so I appreciate you trying a DW. While they have the similiarities of all making fine cue cases, it would be like saying that you can't like Van Gogh and Rembrandt at the same time. Thanks for your business and your feedback, Dean!

I had no idea what the poor cow must be thinking, how did Steve draw up such a fuuny thing so fast.
I want Steve to design a tooled case with longhorns, six shooters, boots and saddles for me.

In return I may display a pic of Barry Szamboti making a quick retreat from longhorn steers at our ranch in texas.

That's some funny stuff there Steve, I needed a good laugh today. But why did I have to be an old tough skirt steak?:p

Thanks Rusty, glad you got a laugh! Actually, you got my favorite part of the cow. In AZ, they pound that skirt steak into the consistency of a wash rag and marinate it in citrus juice with onions and a few other goodies for a couple of days....and voila...Carne Asada! A quick visit to the grill, a little guacamole and sour cream and roll it up in a flour tortilla and warm up some refried beans. If you haven't tried it, you haven't lived... From now on it'll be known around my house as "Melton Asada"!

Have a great weekend!

Steve

The sixth case down from the top is for sale, Coco. The rest have found happy homes...

Take a look at case number 8,my case arrived today and those pictures do not do it justice.I thought the case was really nice, until it came in the mail, when i opened it the room went wild, you just had to put your hands on it and say WOW!

This case made the other one look pale in comparison, and i love that case too. The tooling is deep and beautiful. Sure I traded my cue to get it but what the heck the case is so nice i will just admire it

Between these cases and the Rusty Melton tooled cases I know I have the best case in the world!

I just met Steve Feld ( Hunter) when he put these cases on AZ,he is a very honorable fella,I paid first and he mailed the cases quickly. My only complaint is that he was so careful packing that it took me 5 minutes to cut through the bubble wrap, but my case,my beautiful WESTERN tooled case was in perfect condition.

thanks to Steve,

Dean

Dean,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you like the case! It caused quite a stir when I took it to my poolroom to show it off, too. One thing you can say about my pictures is that folks are usually pleasantly surprised when they get the actual case ! It really is hard to catch the detail on these rascals! I think I need tips from Rusty, as his pictures always look awesome.

You have been great to work with, Dean. I appreciate your honesty and your great communication! It's nice to know that those traits are still alive and well, in this day and age... I mentioned your loyalty to Rusty Melton and Ron Thomas earlier, and once again, I thank you for trying this case out, and to Rusty for his kind words. Word of mouth from a case afficionado like yourself speaks louder than my crummy pictures anyday...

I hope we do lots more business together in the near future on some of those new cues you have, too. It'll give me more practice at that bubble wrapping thing!

Take care and thanks again for everything!

Steve

Another addition to the lineup... This is my new case, which is #9!
