***Happy Birthday CMBWSU***

Happy Birthday, Bob!!!!

Thanks Trig.

Just read your Sunday blog entry entitled "Video Compilation $1,000-a-ball Break Contest" that took place at Rusty's Billiards. I liked that video bunches. Sounded like you and Ashley Nandrasy had a ball. I went to YouTube and found that it was posted by a recplay11. Is that you or Ash? If so, I'd like to subscribe. While on that topic, is there a way to subscribe to your blog and receive email notifications when you make a new post? At my age, I need all the reminders I can get!

Happy happy joy joy!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweetie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you have an awesome day!

xoxo,
Amanda

Happy BirthDay Bob Hope You Have A Great Day My Friend

Permit me, as I am getting on in years and it is my birthday (lol), to reminisce a bit here. Funny you should use Bob Hope in your reply. In 1972 I was stationed at Norton AFB, CA in the Deputy Commander for Operations Office of the 63rd Military Airlift Wing (63 MAW) and was selected to assist Plans and Programs in the preparation of his Christmas trip to Nam. I was behind closed doors and in the very next room he was in from time-to-time; however, I did not have an opportunity to even meet him. To this day wish I could have as I consider him a great American. Got this pic off the net:

(A YouTube video of that very trip can be found here)

As a result of the aforementioned, along with other things, the 63 MAW, in conjunction with the 445th Airlift Wing, ended up being selected for Operation Homecoming (the return of the POWs) and I once again was selected to assist in the overseeing of that plan as well.

Lockheed C-141A Starlifter | 66-0177 "Hanoi Taxi" | Operation Homecoming | February 1973

* Depicts the first Starlifter that flew out the first group of released American POWs out of Hanoi on 12 February 1973.

* As the first in of the 16 Starlifters that flew POW repatriation flights, "Hanoi Taxi" has always been symbolic of the POW homecoming flights.

* Actual footage of one of Bob Hope bird's can be found at the end of the above YouTube video.

These, in addition to being an Advisor to the Republic of Korea Air Force from 1980 to 1987, are proud moments that I consider highlights of my life. Your simple mention of Bob Hope brought all those memories back and I thank you for that. I do not miss those 12-hour minimum/seven days a week/365 days a year though ! No way could I do that now.

"Thanks for the Memories" Robley.

Happy Birthday you pool freak! Today is a great day to thank you for all your contributions! Best wishes for a gazillion more B-Days!

How many zeros in a gazillion? Million, billion, trillion, quadrillion, quintillion, sextillion, septillion, octillion, novillion, decillion . . . lets see, a decillion is:

1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

. . . it's right up there with zillion, bijillion, and uncountabillion . . . me thinks I need more zeros, and not these kind either:

Thanks for the kind words.

Did that Saturday night. I couldn't wait. Besides, I had to make sure the chefs were ready in case we do meet up in December. Still don't have my Hawaii dates set yet. Cross your claws, I mean fingers.
