Hello's, Thank You's, and Happenings at the IPT

But keeping up a 1-1/2 year long fight with FL IS impressive. :p

Look at who is stiring the pot with that fight... not me. The point I am trying to make is that Marissa was excited about attending this event and she was sharing her experience with those that were not fortunate enough to attend. People accuse her of name dropping. Is she supposed to refer to different players as "player 1A, player C4, and player B3"? Give me a break. Now a post that was started innocently as turned into a flamed discussion about how you and Mr. Cranium feel about Marissa. In the end, Mike will have no choice but to delete the entire thread. Will it be because of what I have posted in this thread or will it be because of your bullying of Marissa? Every time she posts something she is getting harassed. The same has happened with me and Timberly on this and other forums. Are we supposed to just sit back and take it on the chin while you guys sit around hi-fiving each other for slamming Marissa for no particular reason? Sooner or later it has to stop. Most of the people on this forum are pretty cool, its just a select few that make it a miserable experience for the rest of us, and yes, I have discussed this with Mike. Just stop.

I don't care who ya are, thats some funny shit.:D
Instead of editing this, I'll just say that I think that comedian guy that says Git-R-Done says this all the time, or close to it. Either way, this is some funny shit.

Mike,

I'll definitely give you the benefit of the doubt that you did not see the original post, prior to it's usual editing.
Trust me when I say though, the name dropping was astronomical.

Regards,
Koop
There were a lot of important pool people and players there. And everyone was very accessible. KT spoke with anyone that had any kind of questions. He even sat in the general admission seats.

I didnt' see the original post, but it can't be any different than SPetty's post. And nobody would accuse SPetty as a name-dropper.

It was a really exciting event, especially for the players. That include players that have only known gambling to make a living who now have a legitimate shot at doing what they love best while providing for their family. Let's not ruin this.

Well said.

Sometimes I think people are just waiting around for a flame-war to ignite. And other times, they couldn't wait any longer, so they'd have to ignite it themselves. This thread is turning out to be such an example.

No doubt Dave.

The tournament seems like it was very successful. I'll keep my eyes open for JAM's updates. Always filled with great facts instead of all the "look at me" and name dropping.

As far as I could see it was well ran with lots of coverage of each table. I loved the fact that you could sit in the stands and watch the shot on a tv mounted about the match. It was set up well with the bleachers placed well for viewing and no interference from the crowds. The matches and times were posted on paper so that you knew when a player would be playing. Names were put up ahead of time so that you could see where the player was you wanted to watch the most. The score cards were also posted on TVs above the matches. To give you an idea one TV showed table #2 shots while the second TV constantly showed the results which were updated as often as they got the matches done. The IPT tour members that were not invited to play had autograph sessions assigned and we were able to meet a lot of them. The players seemed to be pleased with the VIP treatment they got and the Hall of Famers were excited to be there.
Kevin was a great host and always had the time to stop say hi and ask how you were doing. He was real interested in the game itself too and I saw him watching some of the matches with much interest. I spoke with him on several occasions and he has a lot of good plans for the future of pool.
I myself had a great time watching the matches, seeing old friends and making new ones.

Say what you want, but if 1/4 or the pool fans were half as supportive as Marissa by attending events and showing their entusiasm, then pool might actually gain some popularity. Just a thought.

Debra
(has had problems with Marissa, but believes that a group of people are just bashing Marissa to impress each other)
Oh, I'm sure if we all got "free" hotel rooms, VIP passes to the Green Room and Finals tickets, we would be 125% (you do the math) better pool fans. That's my thought.....Debra.

And, guess what, Ms. High&Mighty, you are sitting around high-fiving yourself for being sooo clever. Nice. Discuss THAT with Mike and have fun pleasing yourselves.

It is done and I could not be happier for the players to finally have the opportunity to earn the money they deserve.

Does anyone who was there have any criticisms of the event? Everything seems so well managed that it may be a first in pool........even at top-notch events such as the US open there are complaints about organization, but here everything seemed to be perfect. The players and crowds were happy. Sounds great!

Well, yeah, I have one. But I'm reluctant to put it here before I provide it as feedback to the IPT. If it's big enough to ***** about, then it's big enough to let them know about.

Don't worry, none of us are impressed
its just a select few that make it a miserable experience for the rest of us,..

Are you speaking for yourself or did I miss the election for AZ forum spokesperson?.;)

You know, I have no clue what half of you people are talking about, particularly Spetty. Its like viewing the middle of a bad soap opera. I'm constantly surprised that purported adults can get so involved in drama on the internet; your real lives must be sad for you to take this shit seriously.

Yup, I am jsp too. You figured me out. You are all just too smart for me.

You know, it was me on the grassy knoll too.

Who the hell cares? If Marissa wanted to mention a hundred more names then that's her business. Debra is right, spend more time attending events and supporting the game. Have we reached the point where we have nothing better to do than to post solely about how we don't like someone?

Hi, Koop. I'm working on a post about my IPT experience. The magnitude of the IPT tour as a whole is so GREAT that it is difficult to express in black and white. Needless to say, Kevin Trudeau is a man on a mission and will take pool to heights where no player has ever gone. After seeing it up front and close, I am 100-percent confident that the IPT is the change agent for a sport which has been stagnating for decades. It is not only the monies being infused into the tour, although this certainly helps, but it is the vision created by Kevin Trudeau that is going to get pool on the map. I can't wait for the next IPT event, sometime in February. :)

Here's a cute snapshot taken by me at the players meeting. I was sitting in front of these four lovely ladies, and I decided to attempt a picture of the lady pros. When Allison Fisher saw me getting ready to snap, she graciously said, "Hey, let's give her a good picture," and this is the result.

BTW, Kelly Fisher is so personable and sweet. Keith and Kelly shared a few pool strategies outside, and Kelly was quite enthusiastic to hear Keith explain the "feels." Her English accent is cute when she describes "potting balls." She lives in North Carolina now and loves it there, having lived in New Jersey for a short time previously. Kelly Fisher is very excited, as are all the rest of the players, about the IPT tournament trail up ahead.

I hope I get the names in the right order: Allison, Gerda, Kim Shaw, and Kelly Fisher.

JAM

Jennie,
We are creating a pool reality series for InDemand television. I would like to offer Keith an opportunity to be part of the show. Shooting will commence in Louisville next month.
