Hello's, Thank You's, and Happenings at the IPT

No need to re-read, my reading comprehension is just fine thank you.
Someday you may understand that there are people on here who understand that the reality is, you starve attention, hence your post.

I give up. Please, by all means, carry on with your Master Groupie thingie you've got going on. It seems to be working well in your world.

Good call Koop, ya may as well give up. Besides, it's more fun to just sit back and laugh at it all ... BTW, I'm with 1PR on two counts ... that is the most names I've seen dropped in one post, and I too wanna know ... just for laughs.

On the bright side, the tournament must have been well organized given that the TD had time to take some audience member for a tour of the facilities.

Johnny V, it was great meeting you and your little boys! They're absolutely adorable! I also met Colin, though we didn't get to talk very much. The girls in China must go crazy over him ;) Linda Carter and I sweated some matches and she's even lovelier in person.

During the finals, some guys from Boys II Men and NSYNC showed up in the audience. I didn't get any pics, but I'm sure someone else did. Red Sox outfielder Johnny Damon showed up earlier in the week to hit some with Mike Sigel. That got us some press in the Boston Globe!

The green room was incredible: lounge chairs to watch matches on a plasma screen, private internet access, organic food and bottled water, masseurs, practise tables... all limited to tournament players and press.

The players meeting was recorded onto CD, which everyone got with their passes along with programs! I recommend everyone listening to that if they haven't already. Programs included player bios, introductions from Kevin Trudeau and Deno Andrews, a summary of eight ball rules, and a "how-to" on reading the Round Robin scorecards.

Did anyone hear about the ref that started racking the balls while Efren was still on the eight during his last match on Saturday? ROTFLMAO I didn't see it personally since I was watching the Archer-Varner match, but it caused quite the stir!!

During the final matches Saturday night, Kevin decided to reward any player who won the lag and ran all eight racks with an additional $100,000!

All together an overwhelming, unbelievable groundbreaking event!!
Was there something wrong with your original post that you felt the need to edit it? :p

No doubt Dave.

The tournament seems like it was very successful. I'll keep my eyes open for JAM's updates. Always filled with great facts instead of all the "look at me" and name dropping.

Hey Mariss,

Thanks for the pics and write-up for those that wished we could be there.

Since you were talking to some of the people involved with the tour, especially KT, did you come away with any hearsay on the future of the tour? I'm just curious if you felt like this might be a longer term commitment from Trudeau.

This is definitely a long-term committment for Kevin Trudeau. You can see the enthusiasm in everyone directly involved, especially Trudeau and tour director, Deno Andrews. They both stayed active in the production of this event, not just behind the scenes, but spoke with both the players and fans who were able to attend.

Hi, Koop. I'm working on a post about my IPT experience. The magnitude of the IPT tour as a whole is so GREAT that it is difficult to express in black and white. Needless to say, Kevin Trudeau is a man on a mission and will take pool to heights where no player has ever gone. After seeing it up front and close, I am 100-percent confident that the IPT is the change agent for a sport which has been stagnating for decades. It is not only the monies being infused into the tour, although this certainly helps, but it is the vision created by Kevin Trudeau that is going to get pool on the map. I can't wait for the next IPT event, sometime in February. :)

Here's a cute snapshot taken by me at the players meeting. I was sitting in front of these four lovely ladies, and I decided to attempt a picture of the lady pros. When Allison Fisher saw me getting ready to snap, she graciously said, "Hey, let's give her a good picture," and this is the result.

BTW, Kelly Fisher is so personable and sweet. Keith and Kelly shared a few pool strategies outside, and Kelly was quite enthusiastic to hear Keith explain the "feels." Her English accent is cute when she describes "potting balls." She lives in North Carolina now and loves it there, having lived in New Jersey for a short time previously. Kelly Fisher is very excited, as are all the rest of the players, about the IPT tournament trail up ahead.

I hope I get the names in the right order: Allison, Gerda, Kim Shaw, and Kelly Fisher.

Hi, Eric. "Wish you were there," as they say. However, I brought back some extra CDs of the players meeting in which Deno Andrews the IPT Tour Director, Jon Denny the IPT Executive Director, Lee Storms, and the man himself, Kevin Trudeau, spoke. The name of the CD is "Kevin Trudeau Speaks." I would like nothing better than for you to hear it for yourself.

E-mail me your postal address at "JAMalloy @ aol.com," and it would be my pleasure to send you this CD along with the program for the IPT King of the Hill Shootout. The program is GREAT, which depicts pictures and bios of every single participant with some other info. There is an article in there written by Bob Jewett which was quite interesting, too.

Here is a snapshot of Ewa Laurence and Keith McCready. I think Ewa is drop-dead gorgeous, and she's even prettier in person! :)

Great to have you back Jennie.
I'll be looking for that post.

I think if you check the website, you can see that 'Kev' details the changes that he and Marissa finalized in Orlando.

I don't care who ya are, thats some funny shit.:D

No, but I did get a PM about the post and it was getting a bit over the line.

Maybe she edited her post after the replies started coming in, but I didn't see a huge amount of name dropping. At least not over the top.

Jennie, you're the bestest, I owe you one. For that matter, I think alot of poolplayers appreciate our AZB reporter-at-large.

Hey, Keith looks great in that suit. How did you get him to wear it? Is that the ol' "married or buried" outfit? (j/k) ;)

Say what you want, but if 1/4 or the pool fans were half as supportive as Marissa by attending events and showing their entusiasm, then pool might actually gain some popularity. Just a thought.

Mike,

I'll definitely give you the benefit of the doubt that you did not see the original post, prior to it's usual editing.
Trust me when I say though, the name dropping was astronomical.

Regards,
Koop

Debra,

That is fine that you feel that way but don't ever get the impression that I feel the need to impress anyone. And I highly doubt the others do either.

Don't worry, none of us are impressed.
