I saw a Helmstetter cue at the room today with a quick release joint.
On the forearm it has the Helmstetter name followed by PJ. The guy picked it up in a pawn shop for $70.00
Did Helmstetter ever use a joint like this or has it been changed?
The pics are the best I could do with my cell phone.

Thats the twin joint or twin screw , I had that exact cue . Good cue . Jim

I think I sold you one many years ago when you had cue cases in a Tavern, but I could be wrong it have been some one else.

Merry Christmas Jim.

Yes measureman that joint is for real. I bought a Helmstetter TJ cue about ten years ago from Showcase billiards and that cue has impressed everyone who has ever laid hands on it.

Next time I get down there I will bring it and you can take it for a spin!

It might be too much cue for me.
What does the TJ stand for? Do I guess that the J is for joint?

yes there is threads on it like a normal joint and then there are threads on the pilot and the inside joint wall so it threads together in two places..

Maybe a little hard to see in the cell pic I took-but that's exactly what it is-I just never saw that before and I get to see a lot of cues.
