A friend of mine named John back in NY had one of these cues,i was pleasantley suprised how nice it hit and looked great too. ;)

The ferrules on those cues were made out of cerosite i am positive as i had the higher end model 86-13 with the same joint ringwork and the yellow ferrule, alot of there inlays with the all white points in these cues were cerosite too. :)

Then thats what we will shoot for "cerosite" he swore it to be micarta but if cerosites the norm it probably is. Lets move a good playing cue. I need it out of my way...

Yeah it is,it gets a yellowish tint to it which people think is ivory or micarta. :)

MORNING BUMP Common guys lets move this Helmstetter.. Throw mw some offers. I will let it go very fair....

Well I wanted to here some trades but lets see I had a offer for $250 shipped how about $265 shipped

I was at a cue show with Craig Peterson somewhile back in Nashville and RichardHelmsteter joined us,turned out he had taught Peterson to make cues,Craig held him im high regard,h is one of the best in the world. Now he is "the man "at Calaway golf. The point is,if Richard made this cue,and he did make a lot back then, then this is a steal at $300 or even more.If you want a great cue for $300 this might be the best you can do.Honestly if i didn't have so many full spliced now,I would buy it.
