Help Identify Brunswick Table

How is everyone doing? There is a guy is selling a 9ft brunswick for $200. It needs felt, all pockets and the side curtains are missing and the guy has no idea what model it is. He claims it is a 9ft Brunswick. I couldn't identify the table by the picture he sent me, and was wondering if any of you more experienced players could help me. Please let me know. I was wondering whether this is a good deal or not. Thanks

Brunswick dropped this table from there line 10 plus years ago.Should have sold new for around 3200 - 3500.00.Looks to be oak and should have SuperSpeed cushion.If the slate is in good shape then its a good purchase.
Brunswick replaced the model with a table called the Camden 2. Sorry Ican't remember the model name.Madison keeps coming to mind...I'd purchase the table for resale the slate is worth 200.

Naw, move on. Get a real table. Brunswick Gold Crown 1 or 2. Diamond. Think about the resale value.

$200 and no resale value??? What would you call resale value?
 
By the time it's set back up with new cloth, rubber and buying all the missing parts you are up to an $800 dollar table. Around. There are tons of these non-pro tables on eBay that people are trying to get rid of. Not worth the effort in my opinion. It's not going to play all that great anyway.

I was wanting a pro table as well, I have a pool hall here that is willing to sell one of their Brunswick GC I for 1200-1500 dollars, which I don't know if that is a good deal or not, I mean the bumpers and felt is in "OK" shape.

The Brunswick here for $200, I can get it back up in shape for around another $300, and that is with new bumpers, and all felt and replacement pockets, but as for the side curtains, I don't know where to go about finding the parts. I was going to use it for a garage table, but it seems a bit nice for a garage table. lol As for the way it looks, I doubt it is a 9 footer bumper to bumper. Because if the tiles on the floor are 1ftx1ft, the legs on the table as of width only cover about 3 1/2 tiles to 4 so it might just be an 8ft table.

Dude if you got the cash and the room I'd snatch up that Gold Crown 1 in a heartbeat
 
I am not sure if it is a GC I or GC III. They both look very similar to one another. I know that it has cigarette holder/ash trays on two corners of the table. The Brunswick plaque is gold.

Is there a way to tell what generation GC it is? I tried asking the owner, but he wasn't sure, he said his dad was the one who bought those tables when he originally built the pool room. Thanks all. I'm really thinking about that GC though.

The $200 table is a steal, but it would never feel like playing on a GC.
 
ChinO, did you check out my table link in my signature. Brunswick Anniversary Table from the 40's. Sweet as all hell. Bought it from a millionaire in Bel Aire, California for $2000. It's the best playing table I've ever hit on. I'm selling it though, because my kids are rough on it and I have a GC2 that I can replace it with.
I've never hit on a Diamond, but people seem to love them.

Wow, that's a great pool hall! Anniversaries and Centennials for $3 an hour!!!

I need a tank for a table right now with my two young boys. I want them to have fun playing pool. Plus, I'll cash out a little bit too.
 
I like the Anniversary you have, how much are you looking to get out of it, but you are in CA and I'm in MO, kind of hard to deliver that or to pick it up lol.

The pool hall I go to has 9 9ft-tables, all Brunswick GC and one anniversary like the one you have in your sig. They also have a 10ft Brunswick Paragon and a Three cushion/carom table, and the brand starts with a V. If it is a GC I he has for sale, I'm definately going to get it. Again, does anyone know how to distinguish the what version GC it is?

I'm trying to get alot for it. It's never been restored and it's only been recovered 4 times. $12,000.
 
Thanks for the offer, I think I just had a heart attack since $12,000 is a bit thick for my blood. It is a beautiful table and with that unrestored state, I am sure you would be able to get the price you ask for from someone.

So any ideas on how to tell if the table is a GC I? I tried googling it and found a bunch of pictures of different GC tables and no one has a GC I for sell anywhere so I can't even look at their pictures to know it is a GC I. Thanks all.

Verehoeven. Nice!

I believe the ashtrays were for the GC1. YOu could search 'ashtray' it the Ask the Mechanic section.

And for the $200 table- tell the guy you will take a chance on it and get it out of his house immediately for $50 + he will never hear from you again about it. The parts are no problem- new superspeeds online for $150, Simonis cloth too for $250ish. Set-up is gonna run you $450ish+ if you gotta get the rubber done.

Go with the GC, put the $450 into it and you will have a nice setup.

Anyway- how much room you got and do you plan on being in the same location for a while? That is a helluva thing to be dragging around or leaving behind!
 
The diffrence from GC 1 to GC 2 is very small thats a great price. Myself if I had the room I would be buying.
 
I was looking at some pictures of the table from their website, and it looks to be GC III. They didn't have Ball returns on them but do have ashtrays, so I don't know what to think. I will go take a look at it later on the week and see if I can find out more about it. The Carom talbe is a Verhoeven, it is a really cool table, it is heated and everything. I don't really know why it is heated, but its really nice.

I just measured my living room, I don't have enough room for an 8ft table, not to mention a 9ft. So I would need 4x8 ft of space, plus about 6 inches on rails on each side, plus the 6 ft of clearance for playing, so I odn't think I have the room for it. Even if I don't have the room for it, I might still buy it and just store it somewhere for such a good deal.
