Looks Like A Brunswick With A Frank Paradise Wrap, Or Even Maybe A Very Early Paradise Cue.

Nice find. Hard for me to say what it is, the joint area kind of looks a little like a some Brunswick's but not quite. I would guess that someone could of converted a house cue. I have seen many old cues on Ebay over the years but I'm no expert.

Can anyone help me identify my pawn shop find?

My guess is a converted Brunswick house cue from the early '60s. The pin should be a big clue - I haven't seen a pin with an end like that (definitely not a Brunswick pin unless someone modified the end, which I very seriously doubt).

Check out pics in the Blue Book and you might get lucky.

Cue looks like a Mali to me, during the mid-1960's they made a number of similar models. Many people think they are Brunswick, some identify them as a Rich Cue. The main problem identifying cues during this time frame, is the fact that they had a sticker on the forearm that identified them, and mostly today the stickers are gone. The cues wrap was also very common on all these different cues during that time frame. One thing that is for certain, it will make a good player if it is straight!!!

I think it has ivory ferrules but not 100% sure.

A number of forum members have a much higher level of acumen with regards to these old-timey cues than I do. This would include, but not be limited to, MANWON, RUNSCOTT, TATE, J.K. MARSHALL, MR. HOPPE, HANG EM HIGH, JAYMAN, etc.

That being said I took a one piece house cue to H. RAMBOW in 58/59. He constructed a two piece cue from it and it looked a LOT like your cue. I can't recall if mine had a buttcap or not. As was noted in a previous post the top of the pin on your cue doesn't look "right". Could it have been damaged and then "fixed" by someone cutting away the damage?

I'm no expert, but to me it looks like for sure it's a house cue conversion. 3th pic down, you can see an 18 branded in, like many house cues have. Aside from that, who made it, not for me to say.

I hit a ball with this one yesterday. Hit great. Amazing how cues can age but still be used. Really a great find.

Whats found at the flea market,should have stayed at the flea market!! LOL,just kiddin,think its a Brunswick....60% sure.

Looks like a AE Schmidt to me. Same type of case they sold along with their cues. Usually brings about $50 to $75 for the pair on ebay.

I noticed that on the wood pilot on both shafts there is a (s) stamped, I do not know if this will be a significant mark for an I.D. or not but i just wanted to list this,,,
