I am convinced it is a rosewood, but what type is another story.

I also believe that, as Prather Selection of these Blanks are limited woods!

It's difficult to say for sure but I have some East Indian Rosewood that looks just like what I see in the pictures. It could be any one of a dozen species of Rosewood.

i second the bolivian rosewood. color is right and so is the grain(fine,even) not a true dalbergia
