Help with cue and case

I picked this up a little while back for a good deal. Just not sure what model it is. I've been looking, but found really nothing on it. I know it's a Huebler obviously, but I researched the model and can't find anything. The cue is wrapped, but the wrap is laquered over. Not sure if I like the feel of that, it hits GREAT, but this cue might be in the for sale/trade section very soon because of the laquered wrap, and slightly heavier feel. The cue did come with 2 shafts, though one is pretty wobbly, the second one is straight. Just wondering what model it is, and also if anyone knows the approximate value of the cue. I'm thinking it's from the 70's. . .but not 100% sure.

The case is just an unmarked case, looks like of like a Fellini, but it's not made that nice from what I can gather. Probably just a cheaper knockoff, but it's not half bad.

Not sure if this is gonna be relevant. I cannot help you on the model number. But I just bought a similar model. It too has the wrap laquered over. I like it that way. I shoot with wrapless cues myself. I bought it as a package deal for 2 Heublers. I most certainly would not get rid of it. Mine came with a warped shaft. I'm currently having a new shaft made for it. It hits like a ton of bricks. Crisp and solid, a little stiff with the original shaft. I have a collarless Players sneaky shaft I put on it to try. Even with the cheap Players shaft it hit clean and solid.

Heublers are so underrated. It is well worth hanging on to. It makes a wonderful player. Take it out and play some with it. You'll see, especially when you crank it up for a long stun shot. You will then know what I'm talking about.

I am with you 100% on the hit of this cue. I personally would just much prefer the feel if it were wrapped and a bit lighter. I didn't have the option to be picky because of the manner in which I got it.

I really love the hit and feel of this cue. It is simply a bit heavy and not quite the same as what I'm comfortable with because of the lacquered wrap. My player was a huebler in the past and I have every intention of having another huebler as my player. This one just doesn't quite do it for me.
 
Hate to keep bumping, but really curious if anyone knows what model this is. Still doing searching on my own with no avail.
 
Quick bump from work. Trying to figure out what it's worth in case I decide to put it up FS/trade

Definately from th 70's. In good condition I'd say its worth 350-400 bucks. Check in the latest issue of the Blue Book of cues. Huebler made some great hitting cues in they're day. Nice Looking cue however it looks like somebody decided to give it a Meucci like finish on the wrap. People should just leave well enough alone. :thumbup::D
 
Brivera: thank you for the response. Int understanding was that huebler did some lacquered finish cues over the wrap, though I could be mistaken.

Still no clue on the case, though it just appears to be a cheap knockoff of a Fellini style case. Can't tell I it's real leather even.

Just looking for some help on the model and value of this cue. Still in debate as to whether this ends up in the FS/trade section.
 
Quick morning bump from work. Gonna shoot some more this week with it and if it doesn't work out going into FS/trade section. :)
 
Huebler ID

Huebler H-9 $155 in the late 70's. Worth more now. $200-400 depending on condition for a ballpark range. $300 max is realistic in this economy.
 
Thanks a lot boba. Exactly the info I was looking for. :) Thank you everyone who chimed in. It's definitely a great cue, I have enjoyed it so far, just not sure if I like the lacquered wrap and weight yet.
 
Bumping this to see if anyone can help with the case. Cue and case are going into FS/FT Section when I get home from work tonight. I finally got to the pool hall to get some more hits in with this and I just can't get used to the feel. The butt is a bit thicker than my Schon, or even my old Huebler. I will take measurements and weights and have info in the post this evening.

I also have a 2x4 black "leatherette" case that I will be posting pictures of. I would be willing to trade all of these for a nicer 3x6 case. Or a cheaper 3x6 case with a cue inside. :) Just let me know what you have and I will try to work something out. Really not looking for any 1 thing.
 
Bumping up once before I post it in FS/FT tonight after work. Will have exact specs and info posted there.

The case looks like a Fellini or Ann Gore to me - any idea of the year it was made?

A photo of the liner would help. Is there any evidence that a label existed on the interior? Some Ann Gore labels were just glued in place.

Looks to me like the leatrher got wet which caused the seam to separate.

The case is not worth a lot as is because of the separation at the seam and the lack of a label, even if it's a Fellini or Gore.

Thanks much. I am just looking to throw it in with the cue since it will make a perfect shipping tube case. It is not bad at all for what it is. Cue fits nice and snug with not much bouncing around.
 
I bought one from a friend with 2 shafts in good shape, no case for 150 and sold it for 150 to another friend, it was 60 in long as well. I guess 200 - 300 might be what it is worth.
