Joel sent me a couple of pictures to make me anxious. This won't be one of his fancier cues when finished but will still be a sweet classic cue. Brazilian into curly maple. I had a set back due to a medical issue and I can't thank Joel enough for his understanding in the matter. One of these days in the not to distant future.

Joel is one of the best to do business with. Congrats on the cue.
Nothing helps with recovery like a Hercek!!

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Joel has been great to work with. This hit me at bad timing but I will by hook or crook figure out away. I have never actually seen one of Joels cues, let alone played one. I am anxious.
 
Hercek Cue

Thanks for sharing your Hercek in progress. I love cues with brown phenolic trim rings. What's that big chunk of white in the butt?

The white in the butt is where the Brazilian Rosewood engraving will be. Thank you for your comments.
 
Update

Joel sent me an email today with the design he and I had discussed. I won't share it at this time but he has nailed what I intended and I am now anxious to get it completed with some luck and the good lord willing I will have this the first of November. Ill post some pictures once i have it. It will be no where as fancy as many of his cues but it will still be a Hercek and mine!
 
Joel sent me some pictures, all done but the wrap and the hard part $$$.
This wont appeal to all as it isnt traditional but it is personal and Joel hit it SPOT ON!!!!

Great looking cue and I love the unique design. I try to do the same thing and come up with something unique each time I go through a build. I've got some brainstorming (and saving) to do for my Hercek for when I come up on his list in the not too distant future.

Nice! After trying a few of Joel's cues I know it'll be a real good feeling wrap as well as a great match for the look of your cue. Enjoy your new cue when it arrives.
