kenny koo needs to post his here.....it is one of my favorite cues that joel has made.

Here is another, one of my favorite blanks.
This cue was built for my friend Frank Orteca.
He was nice to let me add it to my collection.
Thanks Frank.

Hey Troy,

Would you happen to have a picture of the full cue? I am thinking about a cue design with similar inlays and would like to see what it could turn into.

Here's mine, purchased new from Joel in 2001. Ebony into BEM, and all white is ivory except the delrin butt cap:

(Please excuse the blued wrap. It's actually due for a rewrap, and I'm on the fence if I want to go with linen again or give leather a shot.)

Awesome.
I'm sure it plays great!

Not trying to be a jerk, but I guess I am not a huge fan of cues with tons of inlays, extreme fancy ringwork etc.

Does anyone have any of his cues that are not so loaded up?

Ken

Here is one I previously owned:

I also really like the simple/traditional ones. When my name finally comes around again on Joel's list, this is almost exactly what I have in mind, only in rosewood. Nice cue!

Ken, apparently this is as much a reflection of what the market wants. Many of Joel's customers are apparently asking for the more loaded cues, which is only adding to the wait time.

I am sure you are right. Just my personal tastes.

I also think, that when someone has a wait they think, "Hell if I am gonna wait, I might as well get a monster!"

My treasure

All white is ivory, including stitch rings as well as long butt cap.
According to Joel, this was made in 1999 and his 107th cue.

He also told me "This is the only cue I ever did engravings in the spears up to this point."
