Jay Halfert owned a video tape of this match .
One night Jay, Busta and Efren showed up at a private party .
Jay still owns the North America rights to this match I believe.
Efren shot great in this tournament. He would have ran 10 in a row but Jay jinxed him talking about it.
Not bad for Efren alternating his $15 cue and his $600 cue.

Bustamante returned the favor a few years later at the same tournament. I think he ran an 8 pack to win the set IIRC.
Millions of filipinos sweated this tournament from across the globe. I remember staying up early into the morning for this. It created a boom in pool in the Philippines. Poolhalls sprung up overnight. Pool was already a favorite pastime at home but Efren's win at the WPC interest in pool shot through the roof.
