Letter from trudeaus mom

" i am kevin trudeau's mother and you will be sentecing him on Oct. 19th at 2:00 pm. I'm not an unusual mother, so i will start by telling you I love my son Kevin with all my heart. What i am hearing about him is so unbelievable and is so sad, and all because i'm so certain that he could not accept, for what ever reasons, that he was adopted.
I'd like to let you know that Kevin excelled in everything he ventured. He was an honor student all through school. He directed a show at the Sacred Heart School to raise money for his church. He worked and performed for many years for the Jenny Lewis Telethon.
He was an alter boy, cub scout, boy scout and received [many medals] at age 9.
He was a good athlete, baseball and football for saint mary's high. He was president of the Junior Clowns of America. He helped and guided children interested in clowning.
He was a clown and magician and performed at nursing homes for the elderly. He was president of his junior class. He was voted most likley to succeed in his yearbook. His goal was Harvard University to become a Medical doctor.
Then one day the summer before his senior year he was told by someone that he was adopted. We had chosen not to tell our two adopted sons until they were 21. We felt they would be over their teenage years and schooling and old enough to understand and accept, so we knew of other adopted children that couldnt handle their adoption and didnt finish school and were on drugs and alcohol and breaking the law, all of which kevin had never done. everyone in our community spoke very highly of kevin for all the services he had done.
well we started to see a big change in kevin in his senior year, from honor student to no work. he attended school every day but stopped working at it. he graduated but had a new attitude. i know he was hurting inside because all of his goals were gone. we sent him to psycologists to try to help him. although he remained a gentle person, he was a young man with a problem. after a year or so he decided to work in chicago and later formed his own buisness. he called me every week and came home twice a year. i noticed through our phone calls and when he came home he was trying to prove something, i believe to himself.
he seemed like he was starting to lose his identity. i think he thought he was a nobody and trying to become somebody. i tried to discuss it with him but he always reassured me he was well and doing great. when he no longer lived home it was hard to help him through his crisis and i know in my heart he was hurting a great deal, and yet, he never wanted to hurt us.
this last year he has become more like his old self again with nothing to prove. we are a very close family, kevin calls as twice a week and comes home four or five times plus the holidays. hes very concerned about his dad, who has had open heart surgery and is always there when i need him. i sometimes feel very guilty that we chose not to tell him of his adoption early in his life. so his crisis would have been over hopefully by age 21. as we know all adpoted children have problems and it surfaces in different ways. he truly is a good human being.
he is a very talented person and is helping thousands of people with his mega memory course. he has a great deal to offer society if given a second chance. he now understands his problems and the reason he did what he did. he has made a commitment and is taking the necessary steps to put his life back in order. please your honor, allos him the opportunity to turn his life around. he is not a habitual offender but a very young man that had a terrible crisis in his life.
his father and his brother aunts and uncles and all his cousins love and support him they all know the real kevin we all love him dearly.

i warned my husband about the IPT once i heard of trudeau being involved. He has one of the worst reputations around and i had done several research papers and reports on him in medical school. George as well as many others believed he was a blessing for pool. Reguardless of what i thought i gave my 100% support to my husband when he decided he would take part in the IPT tournaments.
Also in his books, all his claims of extensive research are bogus, and his references for the research he has done are references from medical encyclopedias, but if you do intend to check the research, you will see that it is completley irrelevant to his claims of natural cures. He is not certified to be a medical research scientist, and the only information that should ever be valid is research that is conducted in a university under the supervision of scientist in that specific feild.
Again, my professors and fellow students have been reading up on this man for years, and i just thought i would let all of you know how much of a fake he really is. I knew something like this would happen, because i did warn george several times.
I guess he was somewhat fortunate that he couldnt make it to the last tournament, i was in the hospital so he needed to be by my side, but again it did save us from having alot of expenses and nothing to show for in the end.... i hope for those of you who still havent recieved the full pay, everything goes well, but everyone needs to step up and make sure that this is heard by everyone.
Its ashame that it hasn't gotten much exposure but if all of you work together, maybe you can put this man behind bars for good. Lawyers need to be hired, and i know there is all this talk about the pool players getting together and forming a union, but you need to find a way to let the world know. Its gone on long enough, and i guarantee he will find a way to get away with this if you all dont put enough pressure on him. - just a thought

The conclusion I got, was that now I'm even more certain that his intensions were good, even his methods were not. His ability to discriminate right and wrong, as also some of his morals, are not correct and balanced.
I wouldn't throw stones yet, but it's true that we shouldn't let him "escape" either. If the checks keeps on coming - that's good. If there will be a tournament someday (with money on escrow), that's even better.
If there will be bankrupcy, we should be sure we haven't forgotten the promises. Patience is needed, it's just that we shouldn't fall asleep.

Thanks Athena for having the guts to post this. He is most definitely a faker, and did take advantage of the trust of many poolplayers. Maybe he deserved a break 16 years ago, but not this time. He should have learned his lesson then, but chose instead to look for new avenues to pull his various swindles.

Said if it went bust, well, they will have had a good time and he could afford it. The money wasn't there, he shot an air barrel, that is the only lie that matters. I can't say where the time line should be drawn, as some said after couple of weeks that we wont ever see any checks and Kevin should be hung high. These documents have been on the Smokin Gun website for years, and they were available for your viewing pleasure before any of the players joined the IPT. This information was not difficult to locate and was brought to the attention of players prior to the initial KOH event in Orlando. Many people followed KT like he was the Pied Piper. He never was what he said he was, and I tried my best to forewarn everybody to stay away from him. Forget about the IPT Markus. Its definitely over. Instead of waiting, just apply legal pressure to Kevin's ass from 150 different directions - this does not include all of the players he ripped off at all of the high dollar qualifiers - or - the qualifiers to get into the qualifiers. Don't forget that Kevin was ripping other people off to pay the 150 IPT players - "robbing Peter to pay Paul" is the correct terminology I believe. Any money that you receive or have received from Kevin was stolen from somebody else somewhere along the line. Don't ever forget that.

ofcourse, most of these documents have been available to the public for years. the main research i have done on him has been in the medical field..
i.e. - he claimed at one point that "peach pits" had the ability to cure cancer he went door to door convincing and selling dried peach pits (which literally cost him nothing) to families who were in desperate need of a way to help their loved ones battling cancer.. well in return the 92 people that did use his "treatment" to "cure" cancer were in grave danger of dieing, 10 out of the 92 had severe poisoning and this caused many more medical problems for these people ontop of their battle with cancer... 2 people died because of the extensive use... what he did was crush the peach pits and sell bags and bags of them at high prices claiming the FDA wasn't approving his method because they wanted the hospitals to make money. He claimed he was college educated and had been in many research groups and programs, and worked with holostic doctors. He even created bogus documents to back himself up... unfortunatley he got away with a slap on the rist because he was smart enough to call it a "research trial". he also had these families sign documents pretty much stating he was not responsible for any side effects (some stated severe poisoning and in some cases death..also listing that if they wanted to know about the side effects they should do their own research-- in fine print!) many didnt pay close attention to this because they were so overwhelmed hoping that at this point.. anything will help.
He did not care about these people, he could care less about whether these people died or not, all he wanted to do was make money, and he used desperate innocent people for this. A man with an idiosyncrasy like that should definatley not be trusted.
Maybe i am looking at it from a different view point, being that my job is to ultimatley save people's lives and prevent them from getting sick... i can not believe that a man can be this manipulative and shallow.
You need to understand, when a person is sick, or when a family member is dieing, people will go to any extent, and put all their hope and faith into an individual that will claim he/she can help them live. As a doctor, holistics specialist, or nutritionist, your job is to be honest, careing and provide at your very best, information and care for a patient to get better, whether is eating healthier, taking meds, or changing an unhealthy lifestyle. People depend on you. You have 100% of their trust. If someone had done that to you would you ever trust again?? He's no different in any other feild. If he can mess with peoples health and lives, and not have any consideration about what happens to them, what makes you think he will care so much as to what these pool players are going through? He has been chased by many bigger fish, and he has succeeded to get away... he is not taking this seriously.. and he could care less on wether you receive a check or not.. and you know what.. when the checks do stop coming... it will be too late to do anything about it... because everyone is just going to shove it to the side... he'll come back with an apology, another tournament, another guarantee... and the same thing will happen.. beleive me... hes done this before.. only it was way more than just messing with peoples money.. he was messing with peoples lives.

Very similar to the "apricot pit" remedy that was popular in Mexico some years back as a Cancer cure. Many people went down to Tijuana to small "Cancer" clinics there for these "treatments". The Mexican government finally put a stop to it, after so many complaints from Docters North of the border.

It seems that there are several divergent camps when it comes to opinions
about Kevin T. The first is made up of those, like you and I, that are fully aware of KT's twisted, destructive, anti-social past, and it's continuation into the present, not only with his deceptive, possibly illegal activities regarding Natural Cures; weight loss, addiction treatments, memory enhancement, but also with respect to the IPT and it's players. To us, it is as clear as glass that he is no more than a manipulative, human parasite, preying on the most susceptable of victims, the sick, desperate, and most needy in our society.
Many are simply unaware of his history, and are probably open minded, and intelligent enough to read, and absorb most of this information correctly reaching the same obvious conclusions as the first group.
The third group is more difficult for some to understand. I firmly believe that a large part of this group actually understands the nature of the KT beast, but remain mostly silent in order to enhance their chances of receiving additional payments of the monies that they are owed - I understand that completely. But, in spite of the facts, history, and present IPT situation, many continue to defend, root, and maybe even believe whatever lies flow from KT's mouth, actually begging KT for further abuse. Among the most confusing are those that appear to be so deeply in denial, or even worse, so desperate, that they are beyond any rational thought or understanding.
In my opinion almost nothing will change the opinions of these last defenders of the undefendable KT. Their reasons may vary, some are probably paid shills, some may be cool-aid drinking, Jim Jones type followers, while others simply want to believe that the Wizard of the IPT is real, and can offer them the answers to all their hopes and dreams. I vacillate between empathy and anger with this last group, for they have been and will continue to be disappointed the most.

Given the information what course of action are you suggesting? Do you want someone to humanize with the guy? And tell him how we are all coping with the difficulties of life?
That some of us do not find financial reward a means of validating one's life. Some actually find their job rewarding in the sense that people will entrust you with degrees responsibility over their life.

lol he didnt execute what he was trying to say quite correctly but i did understand. Unfortunatley Justnum, we cannot do anything to change a person like this, but we can put more focus on the situation-- inform people about what is going on, and about the reputation of the individual so it wont happen again to anyone else...justnum said:

I was impressed with your record with the IPT (and your European championship) and my guess is you would probably do it all over again. The experience must have been incredible. I had doubts that any money would be paid and was surprised each time another check was written. The fourth check was a real shocker, at that point I thought it was over. Good luck in collecting all you are owed.
I know if I was a little better and I had the chance to go through the IPT experience (even knowing how it has turned out) I would have loved to be part of it.

From what it sounded like the actual experience was not that great. Players were complaining about the playing conditions, scheduling, favoritism to some players, getting forfeited for nothing. Being forced to travel at your own expense, you may not even be able to afford, to a tournament you are not even playing in. Finally, getting stiffed and having to sweat and beg for money that is rightfully yours for many that at best will only get them even.
