Hey, I'm back.

To those who sent me messages and emails, I am sorry I did not respond. Life takes a turn now and then. Thankfully mine turned better, but that meant I became very busy and overwhelmed so something had to get set aside and pool was it. Some of you know I was in a bit of a bind and bouncing back, well I certainly did bounce back. I am doing well.

I recently picked up my cue again and went to a newly opened pool hall in my town. It is full of 9 foot Gold Crowns. I took my future son-in-law with me and let him use an old sneaky. I had been teaching him occasionally on a bar table but he had not really seen me play and I had never brought a cue. When I saw him doing what I taught him, doing it well, and not banging my sneaky on anything, I opened my 3x6 case and pulled out one of my JOSS cues. He was very surprised I let him play with it. He liked it of course and immediately appreciated the difference. When we were done I put the JOSS in the case the sneaky had been in and handed it to him. The case was one I had made several years ago. He was stunned. He loves the game and he loves that cue.

Pass it on. Keep this alive. I don't care how well you play or if you have an expensive cue. Teach somebody to play and love it.

I remember when I first found AZB. Such a wonderful community. I am very glad to find it again.

Thank you.

Just had to get life in order. I won't be around as much as before because I am so busy with my profession and another new mission in life, but I will be around regularly.

David Harcrow >catpool9 and manwon are a couple of others I have missed and wondered about.

Good luck the new mission in life:cool:

Hey Chopdoc, I always wondered what happed to you. Wondered why I never seen any new posts from you. Nice to hear you are doing well, and playing pool again. You were the 1st person I dealt with way back when I 1st found this site (in 2010 I think). I was living in Bristol VA at the time. You purchased an old Viking from me I think, and you were happy with it.

And the Chopper gets the Father-in-law of the year award....:clapping:

Welcome back,sir

Chopdoc you were missed! You were here to help me post pics when I was new on AZ. Thank you and welcome back. It wasn't the same without your posts and cue identification help, and knowledge in general. Very nice gesture , letting go of the Joss. Again, my faith has been restored...glad your back sir. Matt D.

Good form Chopdoc. I remember you when I first started posting. Always a friendly and helpful member even to newbs here. Funny how folks do have a life outside the net boards and sites. Life happens.

There are others like yourself, even in the short time I have been around that disappeared and even worse that have passed. Tommie RIP was one that hit me. He lived about an hour from me and we had some great phone pool conversations and he wanted me to come out sometime and visit.

Of course with some cabbage. He had a Pierce I really liked. I had spoke with him shortly before he passed. True gentleman and AZ Member:groucho:

-Kat,

Glad you are back. I was wondering how you were doing and hoping everything was ok. Glad to hear you're back in ass kicking mode.

Coincidently...

The site has changed, I lurk, but rarely log on anymore. (Because people like you quit visiting! - jk)

Glad you are back and that things are better, looking forward to your participation.

The old Viking is still in my stable. Thank you. The cue is still in doubt as to origin, but the double threaded joint still says Viking unless otherwise.

Welcome back.
My wife has a constant pain in her knee...what could be causing that?
Kidding

Be well
