Hey Mike,
I just heard from a friend in Missouri that Sarah Rousey just won the ladies division of a Midwest 9-ball tournament held this past weekend - evidently a fairly big tournament. Do your sources have any info on this, or have I just missed looking in the right place.

Bump, bump. Surely someone knows what's going on in tournament 9-ball.
It was a 9 ball tourney on bar boxes. It was a 2 day tourney, last weekend...somehwere in the STL area. I don't know where it was, but she won....and like size...that is all that matters. :p

It might have been that new Poolhall they opened in Saint Charles City,Missouri! They have gobs of bar boxes there! If I missed it I am going to kick myself! They have tight pockets!!

As Corporal Klink would say "I know nothing".

Sorry guys, this one got under my radar.

Mike,
Don't ruin your credibility - it was Sergeant Schultz (John Banner) who would say, "I know nothing." Colonel Klink was played by Werner Klemperer.

I'll post a thread on Sarah's forum. Thanks anyway.

Sarah won at..............

Sarah won at River Bend Billiards in Alton IL. It was a Midwest 9-ball tourney ran by Evelyn & Danny. Sarah now lives in the St. Louis metro area and is hanging out at Mark Wilsons and The Break.
She's playing good, Like I knew she would!

Sorry I didn't see this post earlier everyone. I was busy today/tonight.

Thanks to Evelyn and Danny with the Midwest Tour and Riverbend Billiards in Alton, IL.

The women's tournament was not very big, just 13 players. Race to 7 on the barbox. The payout was good though for the small amount of players.

The men's division was much bigger, 92 players. AJ Clemens won, Andy Quinn second and Chuck Raulston third.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Hopefully I can keep the tournament winning up!

Take care,
Sarah

A Wonderful Investment.........

Good. How about letting me borrow a couple of bucks till I can see further :D :D

As soon as I see Sarah, I will recommend your request.
As I am an OldHasBeen, I will also let Sarah know that I think - Lending Pool Players any and all $ you may have - Is one of the best investments anyone can make.
I remember lending out quite a lot of $ at many tournaments back in the '70's & the joy of seeing all those pool players running up to me and giving me back the original loan amount + always a Hugh interest rate - was always a fond VERY memory that I will never forget.

Oh, one more thing - This Alzheimer’s thingy is a bitch!

Great job Sarah. It's funny, I was just wondering the other day if AJ was still playing alot. "Critter", as he was sometimes known as, is quite a good player. Played him many times and it was always enjoyable. He even took the time to show me some basic 1-hole theory for the low price of $30 an hour. It was 2 hours well spent.

Thank you all.

Mike...you want to borrow a couple bucks....why not. Just fill out the proper paperwork and it's on the way. Oh wait...that is western union or something like that. :)

APA...AJ is still playing. He is living around St. Louis somewhere. I remember years back he was a great player. He is not playing as well as he used to but he still has alot of knowledge. I would say you got a deal for $30 an hour.

OldHasBeen...sorry I haven't run into you much yet. I guess the week that you went to the pool room early in the afternoon, I didn't.

Sarah
