hello everybody, my real name is Russell. let me start by thanking you one and all for some great stories, tips, and pics i've enjoyed while lurking here for the last few months. especially to the gentleman awhile back that built his own personal pool hall in his backyard, that was absolutely stunning!

just so you all know i've been playing pool for 40 years, emphasis on the "playing" part. to this day i still miss 9/10 shots, and that's on quarter tables, you put me on a 9 foot table and you might as well break both my hands and put a bucket over my head. i'll keep playing though because as bad as i am i love this game.

anyways, i'd like to say i'm here to pick up tips and tricks but i know me and that won't do me a lick of good so i'm mainly here to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a forum dedicated to of my favorite activities.

Welcome Texas Voodoo.

There definitely is plenty of "atmosphere to soak up" here on az.

Looking forward to seeing you around these parts.

best,
brian kc

Lurk no further, Mr. Voodoo, you have, by filling out one simple application, joined the world's finest forum on insulation and weather-stripping...what? It's a pool forum? You mean pocket billiards, and such? Not saving money on utility costs?
My bad. :)

Texas Voo Doo...

Welcome aboard.

There is another active thread asking about origins of our screen names. Care to share?

Enjoy yourself.

Welcome aboard!
Pretty new myself but have found my questions answered once I got the hang of it and people on here are pretty down to earth.
If you have any interesting stories or experiences, please share them.

Welcome

Well Russell, it's about time that U made UR posting.

So glad 2 hear that U love the game of Pocket Billiards.

I've been playing since the Boys Club days and that was in
the 50'.
The bug bit me and I remain an avid fan of the game.

I venture out to watch the Pros play as often as I can.

So sit back in that easy chair and have some more fun reading
all the interesting posts.
Also when time allows, get over 2 Youtube and watch some great
Billiard videos.

Noel

Welcome to the forum!

I joined here back in '05 and my pool game went south because I spend too much time on here...but my knowledge of all things pool has surely increased!:grin-square:

OK, which one of you is this?

Welcome Tex;

Take heart from this old codger. I post under my real name and location.

I'm 86 and have been playing on and off since 1940. My favorite game is 14.1 and in all those years I have managed a high run of only 29. I'm still trying and have stated that I refuse to die until I break 30.
