History of Pool(billiards) when was pool(billiards) invented ? where?

with all due respect, you're on the internet.
in the time it took you to type that question, you could have found hundreds of places to read the answer.

You guys ever think that sometimes the question is more about give and take than the actual answer... The kid is 14 and trying to fit in here so instead of posting another link to his videos he asks a general question...

Google and wiki are your friend answers really aren't worth the time you spent to type out.......

FYI there are many sources that give different info. And what's up with the : "The kid is 14 and trying to fit in here so instead of posting another link to his videos he asks a general question... " ? from what i know this forum is for everyone and if you don't have noting positive to say then say nothing. I'll see what you guys are going to say in 3-4 years..

::confused:o:scratchhead: so any info ?

There is an excellent book from St Louisan Bill Hendricks titled History of Billiards.

You should be able to find it if you do a search. By the way, if you watch the Louie Roberts video he introduces Bill early in the match. Bill at one time was a top 14.1 player, 200 ball runner.

Here is another great book that has a great deal of historical info since it traces the origins of about 2000 words used at billiards:

The William Hendricks book is good, but you should be able to pick it up for $20 if you wait. I have an extra copy I'll sell for $30 including shipping.
