I spend way too much time on here at work. I have to say, it is quite enjoyable to talk pool when we can't play pool. Some of the people and threads on here are as useless as tits on a bull. But, some are funny and informative. It's kind of like being in between matches at a tournament. Or sitting at the bar, while you're waiting for your "vic" to show up. I enjoy a lot of the gambling stories and "who's who." I will eventually meet a lot of you guys. Been around this game for almost 23 years. Hung out and matched up, and went here to gamble, there to gamble. Pretty much seen a lot of crazy sh#$. Pool never ceases to amaze me, though. It consumes you. Takes over, in a way. Nice talkin' to you guys.

I think I just look at things in a different light than a lot of other people. I try and look at the lighter side and find that it keeps a lot of unnecessary stress out of my life.

Like you, I enjoy following the different threads and interacting while at work. I feel like I know several of the posters even though we've never actually met. I've also traveled many places for pool, gambled thousands of times on pool, and know a lot of the faces on the pool scene.

The common interest we have here makes it fun and the drama is just part of any community even if it's just a pool forum. Congrats on your 1000th post and congrats to AZ for having a great forum.
 
Congratulations! You get a cookie for your post count...ooops no you went past the 1000 mark already, no more cookie. I would have to agree with your statement about the bull....LOL

Congrats Crawdaddy (that's what we called 'em in Ohio). 1,000 posts ain't too shabby. I agree with you about hanging out here between matches. My only problem is it's a long time between matches for me. :)

I've gotta get off this stool and play someone. Have you ever seen an alcoholic AZer? That's me, addicted to AZ. I'm going into the AZers Anonymous 12 Step Program.

2. I cannot stop AZing
3. I have a problem
4. I need help
5. I have not AZed since yesterday
6. I will not AZ today
7. I can live without AZ
8. AZ is not my life
9. I am a healthy pool player
10. I can play pool in a real pool hall

Phew, that was hard! I'm breathing hard, sweating, breaking out in a rash. I need my cue and I need it fast. Let me just hit a ball. Oh, that feels better now. Wow, that was a close call. :D
 
I was a bit distraught when I was nearing 500 (spending too much time here), but I'm passed it now....1000 is a ways off, but I look forward to the next 500. :)
 
I hit 1,000 posts in the last month as well. Being on the computer most of the day, both in my office and at home, its easy to keep AZ open all the time and look at it often.
