Smooth cue!

I think I played a few racks with that cue before I sold it for a friend! Very crisp and clean hitting cue. I really like the ring work!

I have owned this cue. It plays great and the only reason I sold it was because my name is up on Joel's list in a year or so...
The cue is worth the money!

Hey PunchOut, FYI- Herceks are a touch more collectible than Ariel Carmelis or Bryan Mordts.
IMO of course :D

Since you are somewhat new, I will tell you this:

It is generally considered poor form to make a negative comment publicly about a seller's pricing on items posted for sale here. If you have an issue with the price, please use your PM function, and contact the seller privately.

Considering that Mr Hercek is one of a very, very few cuemakers exclusively crafting full-spliced veneered cues...with not a glueline to be seen, btw, and the fact that his waiting list is many years long, the pricing on this cue is not out of line. He is considered one of the 'masters' of the craft, and his cues command premium prices on the secondary market.

Personally, I think the cue is amazing looking!! Ahh, to have disposable income...

I would really like to know where you can get a Hercek for $1800? And better yet a scrimshawed one for $3200. Let me know so I can buy them. Even a crack fiend would sell them for more than that.I have not seen a Hercek go for under $2500 in the last year on the net. Herceks craftsmanship is top notch and he has approximately a ten year waiting list. A $700 to $1000 premium isnt ridiculous. Besides this one is very special because Troy won one of his 25 US Open Championships with it and he may even sign it. That alone is worth $2000.

Thanks for summarizing my PRIVATE MESSAGES publicly. Since you've made that decision, go ahead and just copy the damned things directly into your post. That way you can get what I said straight. BTW - post ALL of them, or none of them, including your replies. If you elect not to do this, then please quit summarizing my PRIVATE MESSAGES.

I'm honestly sorry I communicated with you, and I'm sincerely glad I didn't make you an offer.

Thanks, Scott

Mike

I just threw in the towel. Honestly, I'm incredulous at some of the ridiculous communication on this board. I PM'd this guy letting him know that he's not going to get $2,700 for the cue. That's a fact. However, I wouldn't have posted that publicly, because, as Lisa correctly observed, that's not 'good form' on the board. We had a decent exchange of PM's and that was that - no arguing, just information-sharing. Then he posts a 'summary' of my PM's!

Towel in, subscription deleted....so don't look for further responses.

What do you expect? The bottom dwellers are always looking for a 1/2 price meal.

I will make an open offer to buy anyone's Hercek for $1800. Send them all to me. I have plenty of cash.

Scott, I SOLD THIS CUE FOR MORE THAN IT IS BEING SOLD AT PRESENTLY! :D

Regards
Rob

I think I got the last steal on a Hercek and that was almost 2 years ago!

The cue is sweet

It is a player as well as a collectable! Joel's prices are about like most masters but his waiting list is a bit much. I had many offers when I sold this cue almost a year ago in the $2400.00 range. I am sure they are still out there and would most likely pay more now. I am speaking from experience and the market is tight on Joel's cues. If you love Joels cues and have a few this cue will more than likely be worth buying to play with. It just plays that good.
Good luck
Just my 2 cents
Nick

There is a Scrimshawed Hercek on cueauctions right now and is listed at $3200.
The same cue was listed on AZ Forum as well.

Nice cue to be had!

But so is the cue that Troy is offering in this thread!
