Houston pool rooms?

SKEEEEEERD! So much for all that " Big Tyme " Houston action lol. You would think somebody would at least throw you $50 bucks just or see your stroke?

I thought one of the guys actually played pretty good and for sure would be up for some $10 or $20 one pocket. I asked the bartender who would play for a little money and she threw me every pro player I've heard of that plays around here. Nice tables and overall had a good time there.

I'm heading to Big Tyme today, should be there around lunchtime. Anyone sees a grown man wearing a Lil' Dicky T-shirt and drinking beer should come say hello.

Lil Dicky is a good rapper man, he had DJ Omega with him a ton and I went to college with him which I always thought was cool. Get the money.

Drank some beer, played some pool, asked three different "regulars" if they wanted to play any cheap one pocket or 9-ball, all of them rejected the offer. Two guys were even looking for a third so they could play a ring game and they said I couldn't join them. Disappointing for sure, but I still had a good time and played decent.

That's cuz you play too good!
Let me know if you have any plans to come back to the northeast

Yeah, I love that dude. Definitely doesn't take himself too seriously.

You're the first one I hit up when I head up that way. I have nothing on the horizon, but I'll let you know if I make it there.

Just a couple of additional details/ corrections about Houston area pool rooms:

Big Tyme has two 9’ Diamond Pro-Ams and two 9’ Diamond Professionals, not 4 Pro-Ams. Also, they are not 24hrs – they close at 4am.

Bogie’s (the original location, not Bogie’s West) used to be 24 hours, but I believe they changed their hours as of Jan. 1. I think they are now 24hrs Thurs-Sun and close at 2am Mon-Wed. They do have one 9’ Diamond Pro-Am in addition to seven or eight 9’ Gold Crowns.

Out west, Fox & Hound has Diamond tables, including two nine-footers. The nine-footers have sloppy pockets. I’m not sure about the pockets on the eight-footers.

Down south, Legends has plenty of 8’ Diamonds with league-cut pockets and about four nine foot Diamonds.

I miss the Cue 'n' Cushion on Shepherd!

Down south, Legends has plenty of 8’ Diamonds with pro-cut pockets and several nine-footers. I believe the nine-footers include both Diamonds and Gold Crowns.

Good info, thanks! If you google Big Tyme, it says they open at 11:00. This is not true, they open at noon. They don't have a website, but they do have a facebook page that lists their correct hours. If you want one of the Diamonds, you better get there by 12:30!

Big Tyme has definitely had four 9' Diamonds since at least a few months ago when I went there for the first time, two Pro-Ams and two Professionals. There are only two 9' Gold Crowns, unless the other two are mixed in with the 8-footers somewhere. I'm 99% sure they have more than 5 Diamond BBs.

when did big tyme get a second diamond pro am?

when did they get one?

i was there last month and they still just had the 1 diamond professinal and the 4 gc's
and the 5 diamond bar boxes

There is the "boxed in" area directly in from of the bar, which has four 9' Diamonds (2 of each model). I know the GC in the corner, it seemed to stay pretty busy while I was there!
