Jon never shot quite as straight as the top few players, but I always considered him to be one of the elite decision makers in pro pool. Superb speed control, angle management, and a very high defensive IQ were always the trademarks of Jon's game.
Jon was always a dangerous opponent. He was nearly Master of the Table at the 2009 Derby City Classic, an event in which he, if my memory serves, had a top five finish in each of bank pool, one pocket, and nine ball. John Brumback beat him out by the smallest of margins.

I read the title, then I thought Pinegar was some kind of Vinegar 
I'm not sure if he or Hickerson is more volatile.Did you mean to say anger management?
Jon definitely isn’t a fan favorite and I’m sure most people don’t know it but he is a super nice guy when he’s not playing. I don’t like the way he acts but I’ve talked to him several times and he has never said an ill word any of the times.
He certainly speaks from the voice of experience and he tells it like it is. Danny was quite the deadly shooter in his time and you'd be making a terrible mistake to ask him to go outside for an attitude adjustment.i love listing to Danny D, his comment at 46:20 had me rolling.

He's a complete and total tool when he's playing. I've sweated it on more than one occasion. A buddy was at a tourn. back in the early 2000's where Hennessee made some snide comment about Sparky Ferrel's girlfriend. Sparky knocked his wiseass smooth OUT. Poolhall justice at its best.
There is a name I have rarely heard mentioned since I moved back from Missouri 19 years ago.
He was running a barber shop and now he's got a lawn/landscape service in the Jacksonville, NC. area. Helluva a nice guy and one not to be jacked with. Hennessee tried it and didn't like it.
