Just recently got this:
http://www.pooldawg.com/product/elite-prime-2-butt-2-shaft-hard-tube-pool-cue-case
and more than happy with the product, i've never had this type of case b4 and wonder why these types of cases are popular.

I can fit the cues either way (even tho the website says it can only be inserted one way)

So curious, how do u guys insert your cues in ur case?
I would do a poll, but i don't think it allows for dual polls. :D

Well, first you'll have to have the case relined with squirrel fur. Any decent pool player knows this. THEN, stuff the end with tissue. You should try to get the one without lotion and if you can get the color blue or green, even better. THEN, get a girlfriend and tell her you're the greatest pool player on the planet and that the case was made FOR YOU by case maker on top of a mountain in Tibet and that it was this case and this case alone that is the only reason why you've ever won a single match EVER in your life. To you, the case is sacred, so much so, you've never even touched it. Then tell her that she'll need to put your cues away for you and carry the case for you where ever you go.

I do this all the time. I've never had a problem.

You too? I've done this all the time. I generally use panda fur, but hey, whatever works

Should I have her also wipe down the shafts before inserting them? :D

I have a Action case sort of like yours only a 3 x 5 that I got from Pooldawg.
The joint pin will have a tendency to get stuck on the spring loaded base, so I put the bumper down for the butts, and tip down for the shafts.

I think you are going to wish you got a 2 x 4 or 3 x 5 in 6-8 months though.
You will outgrow that 2 x 2.

NOT A BAD CHOICE! What about baby-panda fur for the shooting shaft?

Pfftttt
AMATEURS!

Mink is the ONLY choice for a cue weilding professional such as I am.

I only go two and out since I lost my last mink liner to Efren spotting him 10-8 in one hole.

I prefer to put the shafts and butt in with the joint protectors facing up. It makes them easier to remove. Also clean the tip and wipe down the rest of the cue. What works well for that is after cleaning your hands use the damp paper towel that you get from drying them.

Actually, that is the way I have it now. Btw, Thanks ur advice on the reply of the previous thread of cue cases. It really helped. As far as out growing it, I highly doubt it, im no professional.

Agreed, I make every attempt to wipe-down before putting it away. Sometimes I do forget however.

I'm no professional either, far from it. But, I'm already into a 4x4 ;) !!!

IMO, they should go in with the joint pin/protectors up. That is for the butt and shaft. Dirt/chalk will fall to the bottom of the case. By inserting the cue with the pin up, you will minimize the dirt that would get onto your joint. Also, that puts the rubber bumper down in the bottom making contact with dirt/sediment.

if the shafts and butt have joint protectors then joint down and tips down. if butt has no protector, joint up.
