How do you perform on the loser's side

Lots of winners have come from the loser's side. Do you get tough or just free-wheel it ?

It depends a lot on who put me there ... If beaten by a better player, then I usually step right up and try a lot harder in the loser's bracket ...

On the other hand, when I lose to someone who generally has never beaten me before, I sometimes feel like calling-it-a-night and just go through the motions to get it over with and head home ...

For the most part, I really try hard in either bracket as long as I can stay focused ...

I can answer this question.

I am so used to playing in the losers bracket that I probably should give up playing. Seems I get sent there in the first round and end up going home after my second match. Unless I get lucky and cath an occasional bye. Bye is about the only player I feel confident in beating. Oh well I still have some fun.

It shouldn't make any difference. Just play hard how you normally do. Winners side or loser side this is what we do. Play hard and it all falls into place. When you're out, just be content that you tried hard.

If I get beat really bad, I tend to play pretty well in the losers bracket but if I lose a close hard match, I tend to care a lot less about the tournament in the losers bracket.

Trying to fix this mentality but easier said than done.

I play like ass on the losers side, AND the winners side.

I think I am better then I actually am.

depends on how far into the tournament i am. If its an early loss i tend slack off and not car about my next matches. If its close to the money then ill buckle down.

I think it has to do mostly with numbers.

After all, there is only 1 person in the entire tourney that does not play back in from the second chance bracket

that depends on the elimination format.

I try my very best to concentrate and play each game and not differentiate between the losers bracket and winners. Concentrate on the moment, the shot, not the bigger picture such as your position in the tournament. That is what I try to do, it obviously doesn't always work out that way but I am getting better at it.

You have to play 'em? They usually just forfeit to me :D I am the intimadator
i try to be a good sport and give him a chance. unfortuanately, and i just realized this, every time i get a by, i always do horrible in the subsequent matches.

Of the dozen or so times I've won small local tournaments, I never once did it from the winners side. In fact, I don't think I've ever come in second from the winners side, but I can't say for sure. I've taken second a few times where I had to take a cab ride home :D

If i lost a match i was favored to win then im reeling sometimes on the losers side,i have heart and no quit in me because i have been down 4-1 in a race to 5 to come back to win,i have actually been down 6-0 in a race to 7 to win,so i know its possible to come back. :)
