Will someone who is a computer genius please tell me how I don't have to look at an ad for Pepsi or a Plasma TV everytime I switch from a thread or page in this site? I thought for a moment that my computer had another virus then I realized it was the end of a good thing.

Thanks.

I know nothing about computers but I never see any pop ups when I am on this site. You may need to run a program to get rid of spyware that has gotten on your computer. I use Spy Sweeper and it runs all the time in the background

I got pop up blocker thru my web provider. I guess it works because I never see that stuff. Right now it says that 1367 have been blocked.

Hi,

You have spyware on your pc.
I would recommend going to www.download.com and downloading adaware, then installing it, updating it and running it. It should find some items. Then go to www.microsoft.com and download and install Microsoft Antispyware. This will help prevent future outbreaks.

Be cautious though, many "pop-up blockers are spyware in themselves and they are only masking the problem at most. You won't get any pop-ups if you are clean.

Feel free to email me.

Pop Ups

You should not be getting those kind of pop ups on this site. This means you must have some spyware on your computer. You can never stop them all. The industry is constantly changing. You should probably get Spybot and Adaware and run them both. They are free and they should resolve the issue for you. Also turning on the pop up blocker in Windows XP or get a simple web browser toolbar by Google or Yahoo. They have a pop up blocker that is free, but of course their name will be in the title of the browser toolbar. Advertising rules the web doesn't it? Here is wher you can get those programs.

Good Luck!
