This is correct. So he must have been trying to place safe, not intending to pocket the 1.

No, Carlo points to the pocket as if saying he (Carlo) had no idea it would go there. Carlo was the shooter not Chang. You can see Chang getting out of the chair after the shot. Carlo is gloveless in this match.

I'm pretty sure Carlo is wrong. I think that one ball only goes with two hits and it has to be hit before the cue ball hits the three.

I've never seen that particular herd shot before. I wonder if Chang was playing it.

You're right. He was maybe trying to put the one on the bottom rail.

I seem to have reaped on this post and while the theory is sound it was in fact Biado who shot it. He'd have no reason to do this magic, leave himself hooked, and then beg off. lol.

BUT, I have this peeve about 2way shots and this is a good enough example of player error costing the incoming player. Penalty to the shooter might not be a bad idea.

That was damn cool, even better if he meant to... just by watching, it appears he meant to. Looks like a legal hit as well. Seemed like Carlo thought it was good, not sure where you think he had issue. Not even the commentators made a big deal on it. And that's too bad, it was phenomenal.

Carlo is a piece of work, remember that video that showed up last year of him in a money game playing banks saying the guy didn't call it there when it was very obvious where he intended to shoot?
