Not as big as it appears
I am good friends with "player A" and have watched him take this spot from several strong road players that are discussed on here. "player A" has a tremendously powerful break that sometimes gets him in trouble in these games. I personally think that these road players are so good at disguising a bad rack, that the break turns in to a spot for them instead. When he starts getting behind in these games, he tries to break harder and harder with no better results. I have tried to tell him to try breaking softer, but in his mind it is hard to try, especially when you are betting 5 or 10 dimes on a single race. Also, if he does make a shot and doesn't have a good shot on the 1, these road players move and kick so well, he hardly ever wins any games in which the road player gets to the table. At first glance it would seem like a no brainer when you hear the spot, but until you see it unfold before your eyes, the weight doesn't seem as much for a true world beater. When he was first offered this weight, I thought there was no way he could lose, now, I don't think he has a chance unless he breaks exceptionally well, and Klocdoc is not over estimating his skill level.
Btw, this is my first post after lurking for a month or so and plan on posting more often. I enjoy reading the threads on here, it helps time pass during the day when not much is going on in the office.
