How many are using FB groups to sell now instead of AZ for sale subforum?

i'll take your word for it. I've known people to turn away from work because it went against their principles.
Have you built tables for free when you felt the cause was right?
Now, to the trained eye by such a person as yourself, you probably noticed that there are no seams on the leg pedestals joining the end caps to the frame of the leg, or that with my adjustable casting mounting system, the pocket castings are mounted almost dead flush with the top rail finish, and not sticking up like Brunswick designed them to be. You probably even noticed that the figure 8 nut plate in which the rails had been designed to be mounted had been replaced with a threaded insert system, and all the wood that had been removed to insert the figure 8 nut plate had been replaced. And I know how attention to detail you are, so I know it didn't get missed by you that I didn't use wood screws to mount the ball tray to the frame of the table, but that I had in fact, mounted a thread inserts into the end frame so that I could actually mount the ball tray with machine bolts instead, glad you caught all that, because all that anyone else would have noticed was the new cloth on the table, and that would be enough to make them think.....I've seen that before a 100 times, so what makes you any better than anyone else working on pool tables...."I know a 100 people that do just as good as you do, and probably even better"

Did I already mention I cut the old sub rails off and replaced them with new sub rails in order to install today's more modern Brunswick K55 Super Speed cushions, and extended the rails with wood to 4 7/16th corner pockets and 4 15/16th, side pockets.

Also Gold members would have by the nature of membership already paid for full access.

And member that have a post count over 50,000

Keep in mind Sev, that Gold Members already receive a few more extras on the board over the other colors. Me, I like the large Inbox. I don't have to clear every week.

I have always maintained that there is nothing wrong with the board owners being able to take a little back at this time considering that it was Free for so many years.

When it comes to the Sale Forum, as long as they are able to change it so there are no complaints any longer, there is nothing wrong with a small per sale fee, (EBay does it), or a Weekly/Monthly, Fee that may suit others better. Like Mike said, I think there must be a way to Code it so people can make comments, comments can be answered, without sending PMs to each other and Bumping the Thread. It could be as simple as allowing a few Bumps per day before the 48, and it would be up to the Seller to use them wisely. Blow thru your Bumps quickly and you have to wait a day. The Fees should reflect that all sellers are treated equal. You know, no matter what you do, someone will find a way to be not satisfied. That is why I am adamant on everyone having the same privileges.
That way, no one can complain, regardless of the Fee, that someone has more rights that you do. Trust the Way the World Works, it will happen.

Not trying to speak for the guys who sell on there, cause they may not agree. Just my opinion that if I were to, I wouldn't mind giving AZ a little slice of my sale.

Myself, I like the small Per Sale Fee as I think there are more guys just trading and Flipping for a fun pass time over those making more money on Sales.

We have a few Power Sellers on AZ and I believe that their presence is an asset to the Sales Forum as they provide a service that you would have to go hunting for elsewhere.

So, it would be easy to allow for at least 2 types of Sales Levels. One guy may sell a cue and not another for months. Would be hard to tie him into a longer Fee strategy. One level may require to pay an up front one time Fee and that would be good for one Month. I believe EBay will charge you a Fee whether you sell your Item or not. Can't remember as it has been some time since I sold anything there. So what, off the top of my pointed head, 2 bucks, 5 bucks. That won't hurt anyone for a low level one time fee.

As Glen mentioned re 2 Sales Forums. I think that it will just cause an eventual head ache and you can combine everything in one Forum.

50 K you say eh. I better get to cracking some more jokes or Glen and I start Flaming again. I gots a ways to go. I already got nailed for over 17 K. I honestly don't know how I got that far. 50 K, yer a Wild Man Sev.

Come on guys....was it something I said that killed this thread?;)

Nope.
Just waiting patiently for you to present some fact to back up your accusation.
If you dont have any.
Its alright to admit you stuck you foot in you mouth.
It shows your man enough to admit you made a mistake.

I have no interest in building a pool table like the one you showed a picture of, 2 hybrid would I? What's in it for me?

Why Glen.
Your accusation that NPR and the individuals frequent there are bringing AZB down of course.

Also abandon the open forum concept, leave AZ, join FB and show 3 pieces of ID.

RKC and The Renfro remind me of players that will go to a room, knock how it's run,
extol the virtues of a rival business....
...and then wonder why nobody wants to talk to them socially....
...like discuss the weather or somethin'

Paul, I was wondering about Chris after he had given us a fairly good dressing down re our supposed actions. We chase members, Pro Players and also other Vendors from the board. Imagine that, us bad boys from NPR did all that. That is why he had voted to rid the board of us.

You won't see Ford or Chevy putting down people that drink Molson Canadian. They would lose many sales.

Maybe Chris is a rich man. Bad Marketing move. We do play pool, we just don't talk about it in NPR. I can't say how many sales he may have lost but he didn't do himself any favors. When you make part of your living on a message board, one should try to be a little more neutral.

Not saying that one can't have an opinion either, just try and not piss potential customers off.

And I wanted some of his new chalk too. I will stick with RJ and his Magic Chalk. That I have used it before and know that it works great. Better than Blue Diamond.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Dawgs Duds anyway. But into trying out Navigator and Zan tips out at the moment.

Now these 2 tips are shockingly wild I can tell ya. After my first couple of games with a Nav Soft on, that set me back on my heels.

You can find the Canadian Distributor for Navigator Tips on Face Book.

A little pricey unless you purchase 30 or more but still cheaper than Kamui. And other than Ultra Skins, another Tip that can out play a Kamui by a Country Mile.

I am emailing the guy at the moment. Going to see if I can get him to do some sort of promotional deal with AZ members for a first time try out.

Serious guys, I am pretty picky on my tips. Navs are the Cats Meow.

Well, Terry, I'm feeling a little strange about this....
...been holding this review back 'cause the man makes me feel unwelcome
on AZ.....BUT HERE GOES.

I got a one-piece leather tip from Outsville on a '92 Richard Black.
I've had at least 30 people play with it, and we all think it's great.
I will buy more I highly recommend them.

...and I think RKC is a great billiard mechanic with old-fashioned respect
for his trade.

So how do I feel about these guys?......conflicted

I don't feel conflicted at all. Lots of product out there.

Why should I care about NPR. I hang there most of the time. But, when you say something about the place where I prefer to be, you're putting myself and the people that also hang there down.

So, either of these guys could be handing out 20 dollar bills some day. I wouldn't bother standing in line to get one.

It's like telling me that you won't visit me in at my home because you think it's dirty.

I don't hand out $20 dollar bills, and I don't know if your home is dirty, I've never been there, but I know you think my truck stinks:D

What can I say, I love my job with a passion, and won't sell out for just a few dollars more to do something I don't believe in:thumbup:

This is basically my last post in this thread... The original intent was to hopefully bring about some discussion on possible changes to the for sale or main rules... Both area have indeed changed and for some it may appear for the better but for others not so much.......

If I sold used cues I would never have to discuss anything but I sell other products and have been discussing their development and everything about them on AZ for 4 years...

I can see how some people would look at that as a constant sales pitch so I will keep my nose out of normal threads asking questions or if I do answer I will do all I can to keep my nose clear of it.... I will stick to one thread where I can ask and answer questions and even in there I will keep selling as minimal as possible or the Outsville thread won't be very useful....

As far as calling out the knocking going on... I have been doing that for months... I know you want to shoot the messenger or say it's JB saying what I repeated but think about how long this goes back... JB was an active member when I started trying to point out we could all be kinder and gentler and more open to opposing opinions... What is science today may not be science tomorrow....

For me I have several faults but what bites me most online is I am a soapbox personality... I jump up on one and once I get started I sometimes don't know when to quit.. When I am in that mode I am also a little less laid back. So I jumped straight past kinder and gentler and did exactly what I am asking people to stop doing without thinking... That part is on me....

The 2nd place I usually look on AZ is NPR.. It's not my primary but I am in there alot... I would miss it but if was truly the issue I would be in favor of it going away... I really do not see it being the source of the ill wind but you guys are in custody of doom pooper LOL and I "jumped" when I made that statement...

As far as being neutral.... It's not me... And I cannot pretend to be just in the hopes that it helps my sales.... I have my opinions and I have my facts and I have my truths... Note that facts are different than truths... You can change my truths with some evidence.. Changing my facts will take a mountain of it like most posters here...

I hope AZ continues long into the future... Jerry I consider a friend Mike I know in passing simply because we are usually both busy when he is at the events.... I don't want to drive people away... I would prefer that things evolve here... A better search function, more sales subforums, Pro forums where maybe they can moderate their subforum so things don't go so far out into left field... A chat plugin......

If you stopped by my booth I seriously would have apologized if I had pissed you off but also reassured you that I would get around to it....

There is no malice in it in most instances and I need to work on the instances that there is....

As far as I am concerned this thread is dead from here out simply because Mike is working on solutions... Yes I could have opened the dialogue in a better way. Yes I could have stayed on track and not jumped off the main premise.. Just seems that I carry that soapbox with me every where I freaking go.... Maybe at some point I can let it go.. It causes problems online it usually never causes in public.......

Well, you said all that, kind of made excuses for yourself, skipped around saying that you think NPR should be deleted by saying that you changed your mind and that if NPR was an issue you would be in favor of it being deleted.

And then reintroduced your feelings by saying that while we are not responsible for any ill wind we are because Dom hangs out there. Like we have anything to do with that.

Would it have been so difficult to just say, "Hey NPR Guys, sorry for saying what I said, I apologize".

Could have saved yourself a lot of typing. So, are you planning on still hanging out there with the rest of us?

Already been in there Terry was very sad to here about Jim Baxter losing Harley.... And posted as such.... But yeah I see the point....

Sorry to everyone in NPR who took offense when I cast blame where it wasn't warrented....

And the attemped humor of ownership of the pooper does not belie my true feelings. I stated them.... if NPR was the problem I would be in favor of it being gone but I do not think there is any evidence as that being the case..... If there was evidence that any subforum was one of the issues causing the traffic to stifle I think most AZers would be in favor or a subforumectomy.....

At this point changes are needed... Likely nothing like killing off whole subforums or even the religion/political threads.... Some are going to just blame Spring... Or say that it isn't THAT bad... I think if we wait until it is THAT bad it's going to be a harder row to hoe....

I don't mind doing weekly contests or donating if that helps get foot traffic up or anything else I can in my power...

AZ was recognized as what? the 3rd most influential voice in pool several years ago... Would be nice if we could get back there if we aren't anymore......

Chris
