Yep. I told the manager of place i go that they could save money each month by putting up a couple posters showing how to chalk. 80% of the people in there use the drill-method.
It’s the damn design lol. A cube with an indent right in the center when they’re brand new. People see it and think “place tip here” then start drilling.
I prefer master chalk to predator but I love the way the predator 1080 is shaped. It lends itself to “brushing” chalk on right from the get, whereas with the master chalk you have to Train the cube by first wearing lines down each corner, then chalking with the little humps in between your lines. This takes a week or so until you finally have a slight bowl shape.
I guess you could just sand it flat or rub it on the asphalt when you first get it but I’m a cheap ass with some things.
When I played league I left a piece of 1080. Came back a week or two later and people had already drilled a giant hole in the center lol...so o guess the design itself isn’t the total problem.
