I have an A.E. Schmidt that is similar, but I don't think yours is a Schmidt.

Your picture is not the greatest, but it looks like the pin is different than the ones I've seen on Schmidt cues from that era.

Nice survivor for an old Gandy,
I had one a little fancier without the original shaft and sold it for $150, and I threw in a carom shaft that fit nicely so it had two shafts

The guy I sold it to is refinishing the cue himself, and come to think about it he hasn't paid me for it

Yup.

It's a Gandy HC-150 to be exact.

Not unlikely WICO vinyl veneer points.

.

There is a post about what is probably this cue from 2012 on here

http://forums.azbilliards.com/archive/index.php/t-279017.html

A guy had a Gandy for a very good price in my local Craigslist maybe a year ago but must have read something on here because a post about a Gandy popped up and the guy's price more than doubled LOL

I think his was close to $50 then went to $250.

Carom shafts were actually available for these. If you find one with an original pool shaft and an original carom shaft you have a rare bird indeed.

Also, they originally came with two shafts.

I have one of this exact model with two original shafts in gold pearl instead of red.

Here are bad pictures of mine. The veneers are much nicer in person, they are WICO vinyl veneers.

I have an HC-145 as well.

I read on here one time that guys who are selling / buying should be upfront and honest.. he should have told the guy.. you're offering to much just give me $ 250.00 and we are good....

JV (---notices that its only very select times when this rule applies...

Oh no, you didnt take the cash????:confused:

Always remember, pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered.:eek::eek:

When I said take the money I was being facetious.

Personally, I think the cue is worth more than $250 anyway.

I would start talking at $350. That's $100 for each shaft and $150 for the butt.

Of course condition has a great deal to do with it.

Personally, I would not sell mine for $350.

$250 would be the best buddy price IMHO.
