Now interested in how much money you may be down gambling overall. This does not include cost of table time, practice, or equipment. The poll is not public.

I'd be interested to see a poll or posts for most won or lost in one outing.

first.....the most I've lost in one set was $1000.
the most I've ever won in an outing was $7800.

I'll include myself. The most I have lost in an outing was $300. The most I've won (my share) is $1400.

300$? That must be nice. I've lost that at a three card table in 20 min. I lost that in 1 spin on a roulette table.

I had a friend who worked in Vegas, he said all gamblers underestimate their loses and over estimate their winnings.
I think this poll and the other poll illustrate this principal. Either that or more money is being won than is being lost.

I didn't count casino gambling. If you do, you can up my amount lost to $700.

This is very likely. You may also assume however that the majority of this forum are intelligent, informed, and cautious. This forum is not necessarily made up of the suckers of this world. I would assume if all of us went out every weekend and only played pool in local bars and quit every time we knew we couldn't win, almost every poster here would have a high win percentage.

This could be similar to soliciting information about how regularly you floss to the ADA.

I pretty much do not gamble on Pool as if I want to gamble Laughlin, Las Vegas, or an Indian Casino is close to me.

The most I have lost in a session playing pool is $500 (my part). The most I have won in a session is $5500. I have won $500-$1000 quite a few times. Its all about limiting your losses...just like poker. JMO.

Lost $1300 in a 3 cushion game. 1966 (the hustler got hustled)

Won $3200 in an all night 6-ball match. 1966

Won $3000 in an all night 14.1 match of which I got half of. I very seldom used a banker.

Won a boat and lost a motorcycle

Actually, the amount won = the amount lost.
