When can intuition be wrong? Intuition leads us astray because it's not very good at picking up flaws in the evidence.

Also ask any pro pool player who hit the wall at a certain age and starts going downhill what the reason was. Most will
say, "it's my eyes, I can't see everything as sharply as I did when I was younger." It's visual. You have to be able to see clearly and sharply as well as know how to link up the two balls to make shots with a high percentage of success.

It's commonly referred to in the sport as "Aiming." Could also be "Overlapping points". Could also be "Impact picture".

He didn't go for any "advanced intuition training classes."

For Christ sake, you've graded enough test papers to know better. Did the students who scored the highest get there by knowing exactly what the answer was, or was intuition (guessing/gut feeling) that scored the highest?

The point I was trying to make, oh God of all Gods in pool, was the importance of VISION when it comes to seeing pool balls and the ability to link them together with sharp vision as opposed to blurry or weak vision. You have praised the ability to see clearly and sharply once again since getting the laser surgery. THAT is what is required in linking a CB to the OB from 8 feet with the CB sitting 1/2" off the rail to a corner pocket. It's NOT "feel or a crystal ball". What have you always said?

It was all about VISION, Lou...VISION...VISION...VISION. Get over yourself, but we know that is never going to happen.

And while I'm at it, there is one part of the CB and one part only that can be used for ALL shots on the table from straight in to 80+ degrees. The EDGE of the CB. The right edge for ALL cuts to the right and the left edge for ALL cuts to the left. If nothing else was used, that would do it and its clearly visible against the backdrop of an OB from edge to edge.

I can't believe that someone never came up with "Edge of CB Aiming Method." You have contact points, (imagination); Ghost ball, (imagination); Fractions (Imagination); See the Shot, (imagination); HAMB (the right way or wrong way?); the Arrow;
Muscle Memory (Muscles have no memory); FEEL (what is that exactly)

The "center" is used in conjunction and simultaneously with the "edge". BOTH are visible and why it's called Center to Edge.

Who wants to be first to claim it can't work just as it was said back in 1996 when Hal posted it as well as make more disparaging personal remarks on a personal level?

So, in this case, the aiming of the aiming thread was off. I missed one shot once...the ball hit a part of the pool table where there was only rail material and no pocket. It was an odd occurance...so strange.
