I can answer part of that question.. They will cover them for 8\10 bucks a rail plus cloth.. =)

My first table was $125 used. The balls that came with it were crap so the balls I bought to go on the table were $135 plus tax, discounted! Played on the table for years and sold it with the balls for $250, one of my better deals. I should have painted the table green and yellow though, made a killing reselling my John Deere after using it for years!

You probably should have added to the initial post
to check the nose height of the cushions for 1 7/16" or a CH lower.
The rails can be adjusted slightly - as can the slate.
