A friend of mine asked me to help ID this cue he got from his grandfather. I believe it is a Huebler. It has the 5.16x18 pin with the nylon insert in the shaft. Has the small nipple bumper in the buttcap. But it has RH5 engraved in gold in the cap and I have never seen one like this before. I will try to post some pics this afternoon. All help is appreciated. Value would be nice to know as well. He said he isnt interested in selling it just wants to know what it is. Thanks in advance.

If my memory serves me, Huebler used the RH designator in the mid 70's. I believe the RH5 was the top of the line. Nice 4 point cue with flat-faced steel joint. Hope this helps.

Huebler markings

I would suggest contact AZR Bobalouiecda. He is a pretty good expert on Hueblers. I talked to him when I stumbled on a Blue Mammoth for pennies on the dollar. Post some pics, love to see it.

just missed out

Yah Dawg.. It was a freaky thing. Couldn't pass it up, and I actually decided to keep it and make it my shooting cue. It shoots extremely smooth and it is in mint condition, as it was never played with before. It was a Sept 1997 edition. Sorry to disappoint.

Early Huebler

RH5 is an early Huebler designation. I have the RH8 and Paul Huebler told me it was his top of the line cue in the very early years. I thought it might be Richard Helmstetter also when I got it years ago, but Paul said the R stood for Renaissance. These cues rarely surface, so it is difficult to value.
Could be anywhere from $150 to $600 depending on condition.
